In October this year, american film star Alec Baldwin was filming the movie "Rust", when he was loaded with a prop gun with a real bullet, killing 1 person on the set and injuring 1, including 42-year-old photographer Harina Hutchins.
Recently, the incident has been prosecuted again, including the shooting of the tragic lead actor Baldwin, the assistant director on the set and the weapons prop designer responsible for gun management.
Mitchell and his lawyer pointed out at a press conference that the script did not require the lead actor and producer Baldwin to buckle the board in that scene, and Baldwin should have personally checked the gun for live ammunition, rather than blindly believing the assistant director's so-called "safety" judgment of the gun. The accident could not be explained by "simple negligence," but Baldwin chose to gamble on the lives of others.
This is the second lawsuit filed by the "Rust" crew against this incident. A few days ago, the film's chief lighting engineer also sued three people, including Baldwin.
According to previous reports, the prop gun in the incident had previously misfired three times, one of which was held by Baldwin's stunt double, and the same person told the stand-in gun was not loaded at the time; the other two misfire accidents occurred in the enclosed cabin.
