The Anjiu high-speed railway is put into trial operation before the opening and operation, and the railway department conducts project tests such as train operation chart parameter test, fault simulation, emergency rescue drill, and traffic test according to the map on the basis of the test line in the joint commissioning and testing stage, so as to test the adaptability and stability of the overall system under normal, limit, equipment failure, simulated operation and other conditions, so that the whole line can meet the normal operation requirements, and provide a technical basis for improving the scientific and reasonable transportation organization plan.

During the trial operation of the Anqing-Huangmei section of the Anjiu high-speed railway, the operational test trains on the line are basically the same as the EMU trains that have officially opened for operation. Unlike officially operating trains, the test trains are run on a simulated passenger basis. The operation test time of the Anqing-Huangmei section of the Anjiu high-speed railway will last for about one month, and it is expected to have the conditions for opening and operation before the end of the year.

The Anqing-Huangmei section of the Anjiu high-speed railway started construction in December 2017, completed the laying of the main line in February 2021, completed the static acceptance at the end of August, and began the joint commissioning test in September. During the joint commissioning and joint test, China Railway Shanghai Bureau Group Co., Ltd. organized the relevant participating units and technical departments to carry out fine testing and debugging, and successively opened a total of 1154 comprehensive test trains, EMUs and other test trains, with a total test mileage of 43750 kilometers, and the maximum test speed of the comprehensive test train reached 385 kilometers per hour, which completed the testing tasks of the joint commissioning test safely, high-quality and efficiently, and smoothly transferred to the trial operation stage.

The Anjiu high-speed railway is an important part of the Beijing-Hong Kong (Taiwan) corridor of the main channel of the "eight vertical and eight horizontal" high-speed railway planned by the national medium- and long-term railway network, which is introduced from the newly built Anhui Anqing West Railway Station, enters the territory of Hubei Province through Huaining County, Qianshan City, Taihu County and Susong County, passes through Huangmei County, Hubei Province, crosses the Yangtze River in Bream Island to Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province, and introduces the existing Lushan Station. The railway spans anhui, Hubei and Jiangxi provinces, with a double-line passenger line, with a total length of about 170.9 kilometers (of which the main line from Anqing to Huangmei is about 117 kilometers long) and a design speed of 350 kilometers per hour.

The Anjiu high-speed railway passes through Anqing, Huanggang, Jiujiang and other places, connecting the two major regional economic belts of the Anhui River Economic Belt and the Poyang Lake Economic Circle, and distributing many well-known tourist attractions such as Lushan, Poyang Lake and Tianzhu Mountain along the route, with rich tourism resources and dense towns. After the completion and operation of the high-speed railway, it will further improve the layout of the regional railway network along the river, enhance the railway corridor capacity between the central provinces, and be of great significance to serving the high-quality development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt, promoting cultural and economic exchanges between cities along the river, and narrowing the time and space distance between the central provinces and cities.
