In the Taiwan Strait region, the US side is preparing to "yield the Chinese army without a war"

author:Morning dawn talks about soldiers

With the tension in the Taiwan Strait, the US policy on the Taiwan Strait issue is gradually becoming clear. On October 6, U.S. Secretary of the Navy Carlos del Toro said that the task of the U.S. side is to prevent China from attempting to take over Taiwan; on November 4, the minister said that whether China takes over Taiwan by force or by peaceful means, it will have a serious impact on the economic security of the United States. Del Toro's statement is interpreted by the Chinese side as a clear statement by the US side that the US side not only opposes the mainland's use of force to recover Taiwan, but also opposes the mainland's peaceful recovery of Taiwan.

On November 3, mark Milley, the top U.S. military general, said that the United States has absolute strength to "defend Taiwan"; on November 8, U.S. National Security Adviser Sullivan said that the United States will take action now to prevent the day when [the mainland recovers Taiwan]. This obviously shows that the US side has basically unified its views on the Taiwan issue.

However, it is worth noting that these people also made it clear that the US side is not prepared to fight with the Chinese side; avoiding war with the Chinese side is also the goal of the US side. The US side will achieve the purpose of containing and deterring the Chinese side (realizing the plan) by vigorously enhancing the naval and air forces (establishing forces that make China "fear" in the air force, expanding the size of ships in the navy, and creating a distributed combat system). Obviously, the US side is preparing to use China's traditional strategy to achieve the goal of preventing the mainland from recovering Taiwan, that is, "a soldier who surrenders without a fight."

The so-called "soldier who surrenders without fighting" is based on "you must have the strength to slap the other party to death, and the other party thinks that you have the will and intention in this regard." In the handling of international relations, China has always hoped for this, but on the China-India issue, it has not behaved well enough - the Indian side does not think that the Chinese side has enough strength, nor does it think that the Chinese side has enough will, and the Indian side is also trying to deter the Chinese side and take the initiative to attack the Chinese side. This kind of "soldier who yields without fighting" is a bit wishful thinking.

On the Taiwan Strait issue, if we have always believed that the US side may intervene by force, and if we take "being able to prevent the US military from intervening, even if the US side intervenes, we will be able to win the war and not be afraid of the follow-up blockade and sanctions imposed by the US side" as the premise for launching a reconquest war, thus believing that "before, at present, and in the short term" the time is not yet right, and if it is delayed in launching a reconquest operation, it will not be a "soldier who yields without a war," but has been "subdued" by the US side all the time.

Obviously, in the past, the US side fully demonstrated their strength and intentions, and we were worried. In recent years, with the rapid growth of our military and overall strength, our confidence has greatly increased, and the deterrence of the United States against our side has been continuously weakened. The US side also understands this.

So, the U.S. side is trying to re-establish deterrence against our side. This includes three aspects: 1. On the Taiwan Strait issue, the policy has gradually become clearer, and it has been more clearly stated to the Chinese side that the US side will prevent the mainland from recovering the strength, determination and will of the Taiwan side; 2. Vigorously enhance the naval and air force strength and try to establish an asymmetric advantage over the Chinese side; 3. Internationalize the Taiwan issue, unite all allies, and jointly pressure the Chinese side. At the same time, the US side will also increase its armed forces on the Taiwan side to enhance the Taiwan side's ability to resist.

It's just that intention is intention and reality is reality. The US side has gradually made clear its attitude of preventing the mainland from launching a recovery operation, but it has not mentioned what the US side will do once the mainland really launches a reconquest operation by force. The US side said that the goal of the US side is not to have a military conflict with the Chinese side, and the US side also intends to yield soldiers without a war, but this is all before the war. Once the Chinese side is not afraid and really launches a reconquest operation, what will the US side do? Just give up like the last century, or "zero when you swipe your card"? This is a problem.

For us, our current deterrence against the United States and Taiwan is obviously not enough. If we want to exempt the US side from its deterrent influence on us and establish a deterrent against the United States and Taiwan, so that the US side does not dare to intervene, or even forces the United States and Taiwan to negotiate peace and reunification, we must vigorously develop our military and overall strength, and further demonstrate our will with actions. Again, with absolute strength and will, and let the other side fully feel our will and intention, in order to truly surrender without fighting.
