Previously, the number of new confirmed cases in a single day in Victoria has been lower than 1,000 for 4 consecutive days.

According to statistics, since September 29, 2021, the number of new confirmed cases in Victoria in a single day is basically higher than 1,000, and it has reached a peak of 2,264 cases on October 13. On November 15, 792 new cases were added in a single day, becoming the lowest number of single-day confirmed cases in the past 50 days.

Victorian Governor Daniel Andrews announced that the state will relax covid-19 restrictions again from 11:59 p.m. on the 18th. At that time, there will be no density limit for reception venues, and there will be no upper limit on the number of visitors in the home. The vast majority of places except medical facilities, public transportation, retail stores and primary schools will no longer require masks.

According to the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, 93.2% of Victorian residents aged 12 and over have received at least one dose of COVID-19 vaccine and 88% have completed double doses of COVID-19 vaccination.
