Kyodo News Agency reported on November 18 that Major League Baseball released the list of the best players (MVPs) of the season on the 18th, and Shohei Otani, a 27-year-old Japanese player of the Angels, was elected for the first time. The last time a Japanese player won the award was ichiro Suzuki of the Mariners in 2001.
