When walking into the golden pear industrial base in Gongjing Village, Jinhe Town, veteran Cui Guoping was gushing to customers from Guizhou.
Cui Guoping, born in 1970, enlisted in the army in October 1985 and discharged from the army in March 1989, is a member of the Communist Party of China and a member of the Federation of New Social Strata in Huaichuan County. In 2014, he returned from Beijing and transferred 500 mu of land in Gongjing Village, Jinhe Town, Huaichuan County, investing more than 10 million yuan to plant golden pears, and established Jiufu Agricultural Technology Co., Ltd. of Huaichuan County.
From an "olive green" to a migrant worker to a "modern agricultural soldier", he wrote the "golden dream" of life with a military feeling.

In March 1989, Cui Guoping, who had been a soldier for four years, retired. With the momentum of being a soldier, he ran to Beijing to start a business. He has run an errand company, has undertaken a leasing company... No matter what he does, he is strict with himself with the style and spirit of a soldier.
In 2013, Cui Guoping tasted the golden pear in Beijing by chance, and the taste of the new variety of fruit that he had never tried before suddenly attracted him, and Cui Guoping came up with the idea of returning to his hometown to start a business to cultivate golden pears and innovate agricultural technology. Since then, he has traveled to major agricultural markets in Beijing and made field trips to South Korea with friends to understand the market demand for golden pears.
In 2014, the south-to-north water diversion project was officially opened to water, and in Huaichuan County, as a water source, in order to ensure the sustainable delivery of a reservoir of clean water to the north, the government issued a policy on the development of ecological agriculture. Cui Guoping seized this opportunity, in order to choose the varieties suitable for local cultivation and the soil characteristics of his hometown, he visited many agricultural experts and resolutely planted golden pears in Gongjing Village, Jinhe Town.

"Devoted to agriculture, innovative scientific planting"
The project is determined, the variety is selected, and the door to entrepreneurship is slowly opened. However, after returning to his hometown, Cui Guoping found that the agricultural technology in his hometown was backward, and the villagers' business philosophy was traditional and conservative. Just when Cui Guoping was passionately determined to give it a go, he also encountered a roadblock - the villagers refused to rent land to build a plantation. For a time, the construction of the plantation was difficult.
"For most villagers, the land is precious. They realize the importance of land, but they don't realize the true value of land. Cui Guoping recalled that when renting land, he repeatedly encountered a wall, but he did not give up, going door to door to do ideological work for villagers, guiding villagers, and popularizing new agricultural knowledge to them. Sincerely, the golden stone is open. Finally, Cui Guoping was recognized and supported by the villagers. In 2019, Choi Guoping successfully introduced Korean golden pears to Huaichuan and established a seedling base.
Cui Guoping introduced and cultivated golden pear high-quality fruit seedlings, in the fruit tree planting, pruning, flower thinning, vegetables and fruits, fertilization and other links, careful analysis and research, and with the Nanyang Institute of Forestry has established a long-term technical cooperation agreement, the Institute of Forestry regularly sent experts to carry out various technical guidance and personnel training, with expired pure milk, expired beer, more than 55 °C high liquor, organic selenium, microbiotics, potassium and other micro-elements as raw materials, proportional dilution, spraying fruit trees.
Not only did he make the golden pear trees eat well, but he also served music boxes in the fields.
After 5 years of careful cultivation and testing and evaluation by the National Academy of Agricultural Sciences, "Milk Selenium-rich Golden Pear" was finally listed and praised by the majority of consumers.
"I love and enjoy the current state of dealing with crops every day, and I am willing to devote myself to agriculture, hoping to bring economic benefits to my hometown with my modest efforts and drive the villagers to increase production and income." Cui Guoping clearly realized that at present, the villagers still lack the awareness of scientific planting, "now is still the initial stage, and then I will continue to work hard to carry out advanced planting technology research, further enrich planting technology, and continuously introduce advanced planting management technology to drive local scientific planting." Cui Guoping said.

In order to better build a new agricultural demonstration base and stimulate the development of surrounding agriculture, in December 2014, Cui Guoping established Jiufu Agricultural Technology Co., Ltd. in Jinhe Town. Since its inception, adhering to the principle of "private, private management, people benefit", "think of what farmers think, anxious for farmers, help farmers' needs" business purposes, to provide villagers with employment, production materials purchase and sales, agricultural products purchase and sales, agricultural products processing and packaging, agricultural technology training and information consulting and other services.
At present, Cui Guoping's golden pear planting base covers an area of 300 acres, and a planting demonstration base has been built in Jinhe Town. Hardened 3.5 kilometers of roads to facilitate the travel of local people; construction of 300 cubic meters of biogas digester, so that pig manure water into waste into treasure, every year for the local people to provide clean gas, purification and beautification of the ecological environment.
Cui Guoping - As a veteran who has been cultivated by the party for many years, he does not forget the party's kindness in entrepreneurship, and when the country is in full swing to carry out accurate poverty alleviation work, he actively responds to national policies, helps poor households with heart and affection, and drives poor households to employment. Jiufu Agriculture makes full use of local agricultural resources, adopts the development model of "company + farmer", signs contracts with 10 poor households in Gongjing Village, uniformly provides seedlings for them, buys back the results of products, and signs a long-term employment labor contract with 10 poor households in Gongjing Village, with an income of more than 3800 yuan per household in 2019 and an income of 4300 yuan per household in 2020. At the same time, it has driven more than 280 people to work in gongjing, Xuling, Lotus, Weigang and other administrative villages, and the annual per capita income has increased by more than 4600 yuan.
During the Spring Festival in 2020, when the new crown epidemic was raging, Cui Guoping took the lead and not only rushed back and forth at the epidemic prevention and control card point, but also dispatched enterprise workers to stand guard on the front line, and at the same time donated more than 500 boxes of love golden pears to the local village committee card point, the Jinhe Town Jianggou card point and the Jinhe town government.
Cui Guoping said that the company will expand the planting to 1,000 mu on the basis of the original planting area of 300 mu, and increase the planting area by 10%-20% year by year, and hope to use the "rural revitalization" project platform to promote the standardized planting technology of milk selenium-rich golden pear to the majority of farmers in Huaichuan County, continuously improve the planting technology, drive farmers to increase income, and actively return to society.

On July 6, 2020, the selenium-rich golden pear of "Danyuanxiang" milk for seven consecutive days was listed on CCTV17 channel, becoming the only agricultural product promoted on CCTV in the water source of the South-to-North Water Diversion Project.
On August 13, Cui Guoping was interviewed by CCTV's "Telling The Story of China Well". At the same time, it entered the CCTV channels 2, 9, 10 and 17.
On August 23, at the milk selenium-rich golden pear national recruitment meeting, merchants from Yunnan, Guizhou, Fujian, Hunan, Zhengzhou, Nanyang and other places signed orders to cooperate.
"Danyuan xiang milk golden pear has attracted the attention of the central media, has been recognized by the majority of consumers, and more importantly, for the sake of the sustainable delivery of a river of clear water, how to be a 'agricultural soldier' in the new era is something I have always considered." Cui Guoping said.
At present, Cui Guoping plans to use the nearby barren slopes and barren mountains to sort out and improve into terraces, further guide the local people to plant "milk-rich selenium-rich golden pears", let more ordinary people harvest characteristic agricultural fruits, promote the development of agricultural "post-finishing" industries, solve more rural surplus labor employment, and at the same time green the barren slopes of barren mountains, keep the soil from being lost, and conserve the Danjiang water source.
As a native of Huaichuan, Cui Guoping has a deep attachment and love for this land. In order to make the sky bluer, the water clearer, the mountains greener, and the fruits sweeter in his hometown, he has always used the style of the army to strictly demand himself, step by step to realize his "golden pear industry dream".
