The Western Mountain Sutra
Its beasts are deaf and deaf, and their shape is like a sheep and a lié.
Eighty miles to the west from Xiaohua Mountain, there is Fuyu Mountain. There are not many kinds of beasts living in the mountains, mainly an animal called the deaf, which looks like a sheep but has a red beard. The deaf look is like a sheep, and "sheep" has an auspicious meaning in ancient times, so many imaginary auspicious beasts have adopted the image of sheep to a greater or lesser extent.
Hao Yixing once said, "It is a kind of wild sheep, and today's summer sheep also have red beards." According to the "History of Ancient Chinese Zoology", the deaf onion is the Tibetan antelope. The Tibetan antelope is an elf on a snowy plateau. When the wolf suddenly approaches the Tibetan antelope herd, the Tibetan antelope usually does not flee in all directions, but quickly gathers together, bows its head, and the long horn faces the wolf, confronting the wolf, which makes the wolf unable to start and has to give up.
