In the past 20 years since he joined the army, Liu Rui has repeatedly operated fighter plane surveys to sweep the sea, and has successfully completed major tasks such as exercise drills, south China Sea combat patrols, and far-sea and ocean-going training more than 30 times. He was the first pilot to leave a Chinese Air Force track in the western Pacific, and the first to take a photo of the bomb 6k over Huangyan Island.

The song "I Love the Blue Sky of the Motherland" is the song of the pilot and the favorite song of the hero Liu Rui. On the stage of "Salute to You", Li Yugang sincerely paid tribute to Liu Rui with this song, and Liu Rui could not help but sing along with the song, through Liu Rui's torch-like gaze, as if he could see his heroic posture under the blue sky.

A few years ago, Liu Rui and his family watched the movie "No Questions Asked". In the movie, the air force pilot played by Wang Lihong drives a badly damaged fighter jet to the enemy target, choosing to complete the combat mission with his own life. When his wife asked him what choice he would make if he encountered such a situation, Liu Rui firmly said that he would use himself as the last bullet and use his life to complete the task. Deeply moved, Li Yugang paid tribute to Liu Rui and countless Chinese soldiers who silently guarded our beautiful homeland with a song "Wanjiang".
