"Solange, you see this mushroom has to be picked, not only will it not grow up but it will continue to suck nutrients." Crouching in front of the mushroom pack, Wang Xuefei, first secretary of the party committee of Baina Village, Layu Township, Qiongjie County, Shannan, Tibet, and villager Solang Dunzhu discussed the technical points of mushroom cultivation.

At one end of the greenhouse, covering an area of 2 acres, there are more than ten rows of mushroom mushrooms about half a meter high, and a few loose flat mushrooms are exposed, which is a surprise in the eyes of Wang Xuefei and the villagers.

"The mushrooms in our greenhouse are 'Ya Gu Tu' (which means 'too good' in Tibetan), and Secretary Wang's work is also 'Ya Gu Tuk'." Tseresa Tsering, chairman of the village committee of Baina Village, gave a thumbs up.

Before August, the nine greenhouses in Baina Village were still overgrown with weeds, and it was a deserted scene. "Initially, we built the greenhouse to develop the vegetable planting industry, because the villagers lacked the corresponding technology, we contracted the greenhouse, but due to the soil climate and other reasons, the greenhouse income is not very good." Tseresa Tsering said: "Although our rent is low, the tenants feel that it is not profitable and will not rent this year." ”

At the beginning of his tenure in April this year, the problem of idle and abandoned greenhouses was placed in front of Wang Xuefei. With the mentality of trying it out, she dialed the tenant's phone, and during the 70-minute call, she tried to find a way of cooperation that was acceptable to both parties, and the tenant finally gave up considering his own interests. "Watching Secretary Wang cry while calling and crying over the greenhouse, several of our village cadres didn't feel good in their hearts, and we all advised her to give up." Tsedan Tsering said: "We did not expect that the next morning, Secretary Wang would gather a few of us to discuss the village's own management of the greenhouse. ”

Raising chickens and ducks does not meet the relevant policy requirements; continuing to grow vegetables, soil improvement and getting a lot of money; planting flowers, where villagers go to learn technology... The greenhouse utilization scheme was rejected in the argument.

At the time of confusion, Wang Xuefei thought of the Shannan Municipal Agriculture and Rural Bureau, she actively invited professionals to the village for field investigation, scientific analysis of the soil environment of the greenhouse, combined with market demand, and finally decided: grow mushrooms!

"We contacted the strain planting base in Linzhou County, Lhasa City through the Municipal Agriculture and Rural Bureau, and we purchased 1,000 mushroom packets to do experiments in a greenhouse, and currently can produce more than 10 kilograms of flat mushrooms per day, and the yield will increase exponentially during the peak season of mushrooms." Wang Xuefei said.

The success of the mushroom trial planting gave Wang Xuefei and the villagers great confidence, and mushroom cultivation has also been established as a leading industry to help the revitalization of Baina Village. Wang Xuefei said: "In November, there will be 9,000 mushroom packs shipped one after another, and we plan to gradually cover from 1 shed to 9 sheds, while absorbing more villagers to learn mushroom planting techniques, in addition to flat mushrooms, we will also plant some more valuable mushroom varieties." ”

"We have also docked with the county's 'vegetable basket project', and they have promised that they will collect as much as we produce." For the future of the mushroom industry, Wang Xuefei is full of confidence. (Economic Daily reporter He Jianming)
