Tom Hanks' film "Finch" set an Apple TV+ premiere record

According to Deadline, the Apple TV+ movie "Finch" set a new audience record on the streaming service. Deadline quoted an unnamed source who knows how Apple TV+ content performed, saying that the premiere of "Finch" set a record opening weekend for apple TV+ with the most views ever recorded.

"Finch" is written by Tom Hanks and Carrebo. Starring Ranrie Jones and Seamus, it tells the story of a man, a robot and a dog surviving in the afterworld. In order to help his dog and newly completed robot find a new home, The inventor Finch, played by Tom Hanks, takes his "alternative" family and embarks on a moving adventure in a dangerous and desolate world.

"Finch" premiered in more than 100 countries on Friday, November 5, 2021, surpassing the previous premiere weekend record held by Tom Hanks' other film, Battleship Fury.

Finch, played by Tom Hanks, is a robotic engineer and one of the few survivors of the Sun Cataclysm event, which turned the world into a wasteland. But Finch lived in an underground bunker for a decade, and he built a world of his own to share with his dog, Goodyear.

He created a robot by Karibal. Played by Langry Jones, he can no longer watch over Goodyear (puppy). As the trio embarks on a perilous journey through the desolate American West, Finch strives to show his creation (whom he named Jeff) the joy of living and the meaning of miracles. Their road trip was fraught with challenge and humor, because it was difficult for Finch to persuade Jeff to get along with Goodyear, and for him the dangers of dealing with this new world were no less difficult.
