Yimen Pubei Township: Do a good job in safeguarding the interests of the masses

"My family has more than 5 acres of land leased to the walnut base, but it has not been rented for three years, and this year it has finally been contracted out, and the villagers are very happy." On July 30, Li Zhifang, a villager in the Tushu Group in Agu Village, Pubei Township, Yimen County, said happily after receiving the long-awaited land contract payment.

It is understood that the American pecan industry development project in Agu Village began to be implemented in April 2011, with a total of 1216.514 mu of land transferred. In April 2017, due to the poor management of the original company and the inability to pay the land circulation fee, Agu Village finally terminated the contract with the original company through judicial channels. In the three years since the contract was terminated, more than 1,000 mu of land has been idle, without any economic benefits, and farmers have suffered great losses.

According to Yang Min, general secretary of the party branch and director of the village committee of Agu Village, in order to effectively safeguard the interests of the masses, the party committee and government of Pubei Township actively consulted with higher-level departments to consult relevant policies and coordinate to help Agu Village find new companies to circulate land. After multi-party investigation and full negotiation, on June 30, 2021, it signed a land circulation contract with Yunnan Xiaobei Agricultural Development Co., Ltd., transferred the land at a price of 600 yuan per mu per year to develop understory planting, and issued land contract payments to farmers on July 30.

Since the launch of the party history study and education, Pubei Township has carried out a series of practical activities of "I do practical things for the masses", solved a series of problems of "urgency, difficulty, and anxiety" of the masses, such as the grass basket, the water lifting in the shuitang area, and the water connection and replenishment project of the fork river reservoir, as well as the distribution and construction of housing in miaomao village, and the cashing of funds for the implementation of the law on the execution of the artichoke case in Pengduo Village, which has promoted the study and education of party history in Pubei Township to go deeper and more concrete.
