Zheng Zheng's vows are rich and lyrical

- Reading The Oath of the Land (40)

Wang Xusheng

Duanmu Hongliang's "Oath of the Land" is not written as "the oath issued by the land itself" but "the oath issued in the face of the land", which seems complicated, but in fact has clear clues and simple structure. To study this article, we may wish to start from the title and think about three questions: one is "what kind of land is this", the other is "what kind of oath the author makes in the face of this land", and the third is what kind of way to express it.

What kind of land is this? In the second paragraph of the text, the author's original words are "how beautiful, how rich", you see the towering birch forest, the straight and beautiful birch trees, the galloping horses, the Mongolian dogs that howl in the middle of the night, the red cloth sorghum, the golden bean grains, the black earth, the face of the red jade, the eyes of the black jade, the colorful mountain carvings, the galloping deer herds, the coal blocks with the smell of rosin, the red foot gold... Colorful, different shapes, plants and animals, grain and mineral deposits, how rich! You listen to the sound of the earth rejuvenating: the sound of the east wind blowing, the shallow sound of running water, the chirping of the wilderness, the sound of labor from this end to the other, there is a sound of joy in the air... What a symphony of nature! The combination of "beauty" and "abundance" is "abundance", which is a rich land, just like the canaanite land of milk and honey promised by God to the Jewish nation, for which the author always has a burning love and deep attachment in his heart.

However, at the time of writing, the Kanto Wilderness had been forcibly occupied by the Japanese invaders for ten years, and like many northeasterners in exile in Kannai, he became a homeless: wandering, wandering! I don't know when I can return to that lovely hometown, I can take back the endless treasures, and I don't know when I can get together with my father. What kind of oath did the author make in the face of this land? "No one can forget her. I will fight for her to the end. The land, the wilderness, my hometown, you must be liberated! You have to stand! "The passion and blood in the author's heart are like boiling magma underground, gushing out at this moment, and the mountains and rivers are mighty and earth-shaking." I am willing to give everything for her. I must see a more beautiful homeland appear before me or in front of my grave. And I will wash away all her filth and shame with my tears. "The author is willing to fight for it and sacrifice it, even at the cost of his life. This is the oath of the iron skeleton, this is the oath of life, and this is the oath of the Chinese nation that has endured hardships and perseverance!

In keeping with the full, deep patriotic fervor of this article, the author uses a strong lyrical language to express it. This article is rich and diverse in lyrical ways: First, direct lyricism, such as "I know this, I often put my hand on the ground, I will feel that she is jumping, and the jump of my heart is the same", the land name does not use "it" but uses "she", anthropomorphic techniques are convenient for the author to directly express the irrepressible patriotic passion in the heart, as if the author's heart and the heart of the earth breathe together and share a common destiny. The oath quoted above is also direct lyrical, the author uses the call technique, the title of the land becomes the second person "you" to call, but also the natural explosion after the emotional climax, reading a little abrupt, but arousing our strong resonance.

The second is to borrow scenery lyricism, such as writing about the autumn of the land: "The silk of the silver thread hangs on the horn of the cow, the grain truck pulls the grain back, the sparrow is tired of eating, and it flies everywhere here and there." The aroma of rice grass is strong, and the courtyard of the new valley rings loudly. "Hanging cobwebs, sparrows that have eaten rice grains, rolling the yard of the new valley, a picture of the autumn harvest, and tasting words such as "tired of eating", "flying everywhere", "strong" and "rumbling", it is not difficult to realize the author's deep love and deep miss for the homeland. The third is the use of laying out, the use of a large number of comparative sentences, so that the sentences of this article are particularly coherent and fluent, the momentum is constantly enhanced, and the reader's heart is constantly tapped.

The comprehensive use of these lyrical methods has formed a strong lyrical style of Duanmu Hongliang, that is, to express passion in a pouring language and to impress people's hearts with strong and concentrated emotions.
