Baby play picture is a kind of painting in the history of Chinese art that specifically depicts children's play, also known as "baby play picture", the picture is mostly a child or play, or a playful scene, which means that there are many children and many blessings, and life is happy. Baby drama paintings in the Qing Dynasty were more realistic due to the influence of Western paintings, and court painters and folk painters created many baby drama paintings. Yao Wenhan (姚文汉), courtesy name Maoting, was a native of Suncheon (present-day Beijing), whose year of birth and death is unknown. Qianlong was dedicated to the inner court, GongDaoshi, figures, landscapes, boundary paintings, and the artwork introduced today is the "Baby Drama Map" created by him.

This "Baby Play Picture" depicts four children playing, their clothes and ornaments are exquisite and rich, the clothing pattern is delicately depicted, and the patterns such as auspicious clouds and flowers are painted, which is the characteristic of court painting.

Yao Wenhan's works are very rare in the market and public collection institutions, and in the "Catalogue of Ancient Chinese Calligraphy and Paintings", Yao Wenhan has only three works, one of which is in the Palace Museum, and one is in the Jilin Provincial Museum. This "Baby Drama Map" is the only one seen in the market for Yao Wenhan's works in the "Catalogue of Ancient Chinese Calligraphy and Paintings".
