Russian media: Putin had a phone conversation with the director of the CIA

According to the Russian Satellite Agency Moscow reported on November 8, the Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov told reporters that Russian President Vladimir Putin held telephone talks with US CIA Director William Burns.

CNN previously quoted unnamed sources as saying that Burns' purpose of traveling to Moscow was to "warn" Russia about Ukraine and understand Russia's intentions.

CNN reported that Burns spoke by phone with Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky after visiting Russia to "ease tensions between Kiev and Moscow."

On November 8, reporters asked Peskov whether Putin had talks with Burns and what issues the two sides had talked about.

Peskov replied: "Yes, such a meeting took place by telephone. The two sides talked about bilateral relations, the crisis in diplomatic practices, and exchanged views on regional conflicts. ”
