The horn is an improved self-hunting horn, often representing a free, romantic, unfettered, and free-to-fly attitude to life. In Mozart's day, the horn did not have valve keys and was not easy to play. Mozart's Horn Concerto No. 4 in E major was tailor-made for his friend Joseph Leutgeb, the most prominent hornbearer of the second half of the 18th century. This elegant and flexible "Zhiyin" work shows the superb skills of the performers and the beauty of the timbre of the horn itself.

At the beginning of the 20th century, Mahler composed the Symphony No. 5 in C minor, which played a pivotal role in Mahler's entire composition. This work is not only an important pure instrumental symphony of the composer since the 1880s, but also represents an important stage in his life: from 1901 to 1902, he met, fell in love with and married the beautiful painter's daughter, Alma Schindler. The development of the five movements of the whole song fits the composer's mental journey and attitude towards life at that time, from mourning to victory.

This time, conductor Lin Daye will lead the National Centre for the Performing Arts Orchestra for the first time, together with the young horn player Zeng Yun, who won the gold medal of the Tchaikovsky International Music Competition, to enjoy the classical night and launch a rhapsody about life.
