Provenance of the piano
According to legend, the qin was conceived by the Fu Xi clan, who saw the essence of the five stars, flew down the sycamore, and the phoenix emperor came to yi. The phoenix is the king of the hundred birds, not eating non-bamboo, not perching, not drinking from liquan. Fu Xi knows that the sycamore is a good material in the tree, and the essence of the creation can be regarded as a joy and a joy, which makes people cut it down. Its tree is three feet high, and according to the number of thirty-three days, it is cut into three sections, divided into three talents: heaven, earth, and people. Take the previous section of knocking, its sound is too clear, because it is too light and abolished; take the next section of knocking, its sound is too turbid, because it is too heavy and wasted; take the middle section of knocking, its sound is clear and turbid, light and heavy. Send it to long flowing water, soak for seventy-two days, according to the number of seventy-two waits. Take up the yin stem, choose a good time and auspicious day, and use the master craftsman Liu Ziqi to cut it into an instrument. This is the music of Yaochi, hence the name Yaoqin.

The piano was originally five strings on top, with five elements on the outside: gold, wood, water, fire, and earth; and five tones on the inside: palace, shang, horn, sign, and feather. Later, because King Wen of Zhou was imprisoned in Qili, he hanged his son Boyikao, added a string, and mourned quietly, which was called WenXin. Later, the King of Wu cut the silk, sang before and danced after, added a string, and vigorously carried forward, called the martial string. First, the five strings of Gong, Shang, Jiao, Zheng and Yu are added, and then the second string is added, which is called Wenwu Seven-stringed Qin.
