The play tells the story of how three young people with different personalities in the 1970s refined and forged in the revolutionary melting pot of the army. The three protagonists coincidentally entered the same unit, triggering a ridiculous military story. In the three people, we see many shadows of the characters in "Soldier Assault", although the ages are different, but they also show the fiery youth years in the "melting pot" life of the military camp.
The original name of this TV series was "The Melting Pot", which seems to be very appropriate, as to why it was changed to "Blood Youth", I don't quite understand...
In addition, the Type 65 green military uniform in the TV series, worn on the head of a red star, and the revolutionary red flag hung on both sides, evoked memories of that passionate era.
However, there are two points that I would like to say, one is about the wearing of Chairman Mao's portrait badge, at that time, the PLA soldiers should wear the "Junxing'er" medal issued by the General Political Department, that is, the kind worn by the deputy head of the troupe. The second point is still about wearing Chairman Mao's portrait badge, this TV series tells the story of the end of 1972, that year and month in the civilian people generally did not wear Chairman Mao's portrait badge, whether the troops are still wearing it, it is not clear.
At present, it is only more than ten episodes, although there are many deficiencies, but compared with some of the current divine dramas, it is still worth watching. At least every night to see the red stars twinkling, the red flag fluttering, the screen full of green military uniforms, like a melting pot back to that era...
