Guo Yan (pen name Jian Ai), a native of Shucheng, Anhui Province, is a doctor of literature of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, a literary critic, a member of the 10th Plenary Committee of the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles, and a director and researcher of the Teaching and Research Department of Lu Xun College of Literature. He has published millions of words in academic journals such as "Chinese Modern Literature Research Series", "Southern Literary Circle", "Tianya", "Contemporary Writers Review", "Novel Review", "Literature and Art Daily" and so on. Published critical monographs "Light as a Bird, Not Feathers: Post-80s Youth Writing and Intergenerational Investigation", "Frontier Imagination and Regional Speech", "Words Present", and published novels "Little Neon Dress", "Bronze Rat Man", and "Time Dimension of sixth grade". He has long been responsible for the teaching organization and management of the advanced research class of Lu Xun College of Literature, presided over the discussion of the advanced research class of Lu Yuan, promoted the formation of a unique "Lu Yuan style discussion" and an important platform for Sino-foreign exchanges "Lu Yuan Forum"; presided over and participated in a number of key support projects of the Chinese Writers Association; launched critic column articles in literary journals, and is one of the active critics in the current literary scene.
