The amount of money involved is enormous

Shenzhen police have opened a case

"China Consumer Daily" reporter learned from the Complaint Department of the Shenzhen Municipal Consumer Commission that in the consumer's complaint against LORD, the highest prepaid fee of the consumer was 50,000 yuan, the lowest was more than 6,000 yuan, and in the complaint of the Shenzhen Municipal Consumer Commission alone, the amount involved was more than 4.79 million yuan. According to incomplete statistics, there are more than 1,000 consumers who have made advance payments to LORD, and the amount of refunds involved may exceed 10 million yuan.

Since the merchant has disappeared, the Shenzhen Municipal Consumer Commission has been unable to mediate. It is reported that the Shenzhen police have filed a case to deal with this matter.

The staff of the Shenzhen Municipal Consumer Commission revealed that in this case, the merchants were able to sweep up so much money, mainly because consumers believed too much in LORD Company. Since 2018, the company has successively opened 3 branches, accumulated a number of training student resources, and consumers think that they are familiar businesses and have relaxed their vigilance.

To this end, the Shenzhen Municipal Consumer Commission reminds consumers that even in the face of the merchants they know well, they should also be vigilant against the risk of prepaid consumption, avoid prepaid consumption with too large an amount and a long term, and when paying, they should confirm that the receiving account is a merchant account, not a private account of the staff, and keep the relevant contract agreement and transfer records after payment, so as to protect their rights later.
