If the ornamental fish linger and gather in the water of the fish tank for a long time, this is certainly not a good phenomenon, and if it takes time, it is basically impossible to solve the problem.
This situation will occur during the period when new fish enter the tank, and it will also appear after a period of rearing, the water quality is too old, no matter what kind of ornamental fish may appear in this situation, such as common: goldfish, koi, grass goldfish, parrot fish, swallow fish, colorful and so on.
Just a few days ago, the fish farmer poured the tank of tiger skin fish, and they also had this situation, so I could only quickly put them into the fish tank of the small seabream, and it was uniformly equipped with water goblins, which effectively alleviated their symptoms.
Many aquarists will think that as long as my fish tank filtration system is good, and even if there is oxygen supply equipment running there, then my ornamental fish will not be short of oxygen, even if I raise a little more density, they will not be fine, in fact, this conclusion is not entirely correct.
Whether it is goldfish, koi or parrot fish, etc., they must be extremely afraid at the beginning of entering the tank, that is to say, the behavior they show should be gathered at the bottom of the fish tank, lying on the tank, and they do not dare to swim at all.
If they no longer care about fear, there is only one possibility, and that is to save their lives.
Due to the excessive feeding density, the oxygen content in the water is actually not high, and various toxins have begun to exceed the standard.
They simply can't stand it, and can only come to the bottom of the water where the water is the most rapid, because the air there is the freshest, and there will be no other reason than this factor and other diseases.
My tiger skin fish, on the other hand, are because this fish tank was originally home to fish and insects, and the water quality has deteriorated extremely, so they will not adapt, which is a special case of water aging.
If the water quality of the fish tank is good, this situation begins to occur for ornamental fish that have only been in the tank for a few days, mostly due to the excessive rearing density, such as large koi.
Another important reason is that ornamental fish have already developed lesions in their gills, or their gills are already sick before they are purchased.
In this case, even if the water quality of the fish tank is good and the amount of dissolved oxygen is relatively sufficient, the ornamental fish will inevitably find the freshest place to swim in the fish tank, and the specific performance must be that the gill cover is wide open, breathing difficulties, and it will not leave for a long time.
In this case, we can judge according to the water quality of the fish tank, whether the water quality is very fresh and transparent, and whether the density is not large at all, then why they still appear such a phenomenon, we have to doubt.
If the feeding density is not large, the water quality is very good, there is no white turbidity, no impurities, and it is in the early stage of entering the tank, it is reasonable to say that the toxins such as ammonia nitrogen in the fish tank cannot be rapidly improved, because after all, the amount of organic matter determines the amount of toxins.
The third reason is that there are too many impurities in our fish tanks, the water quality has not been effectively treated at all, or there is no water culture, ornamental fish are stimulated by new water, or a large number of bubbles, filter debris into the gills.
And ornamental fish are overly depressed, secrete a lot of mucus, or because the ornamental fish suffer from other diseases, resulting in excessive secretions, this situation is also very common, even a small white spot disease, may also seriously damage the water quality of the fish tank, making it difficult for ornamental fish to breathe.
Due to poor water quality, or new water stimulation, serious stimulation to the body surface of ornamental fish, this situation is most likely to appear in the colorful angelfish and swallow fish and other fry, these small fry themselves are very depressed, because it is a small fish, more gluttonous, more lively, after entering the fish tank, it should be quickly adapted to the environment, swimming around looking for food.
However, at this very moment, they have no appetite or playfulness at all, and they all gather in the corner of the fish tank or at the rapids of the sewers, so we have reason to suspect that the water quality is too new or the gills are abnormal.
The last situation, not in the early stage of fish farming, but after the ornamental fish have been raised for a period of time, this reason does not need to be explained too much, generally we have not changed the water for a long time, the water quality is too old, the toxin is too high, so the ornamental fish will appear in this situation.
This situation is the best to deal with, proper water change is good, the symptoms will disappear immediately.
And the new water stimulation, is the most difficult to do, especially after the excessive new water stimulation, resulting in the fish tank water quality white turbidity, ornamental fish has appeared a large number of red blood, hypoxia, floating head, ulceration and other symptoms, it is reasonable to say that the best way is not nothing, but it must need a lot of trapped water cooperation.
Otherwise, this matter will be more difficult to handle, and the more you change the water, the worse it may be, because excessive new water enters the fish tank, the poison of chlorine gas, and the ornamental fish will also be unable to stand it.
It is equivalent to injecting new water, providing a certain amount of dissolved oxygen, and at the same time, it stimulates the surface of the ornamental fish again, causing secondary damage.
We will find that after just replacing with a large amount of new water, the water quality is very clear, and the ornamental fish will temporarily leave the surface of the water to dive into the bottom of the water or swim around normally, but it is possible that after the next day or two or three days, the water quality will be more exhausted, and the ornamental fish will return to the surface again, and death may occur.
Therefore, what I have been telling new aquarists is that we are not afraid of the old water quality, and proper water replacement can be quickly solved.
If the water quality is too new, coupled with the excessive feeding density, ornamental fish is basically a dead end.
There is no need to go to the rescue, it is simply there in vain, it is better to die how much is more, the last survivors are elites, and by the way, they also helped us reduce the secret.
Then there is the ornamental fish's gill disease can be treated with medicine, small colorful and the like appear in the above situation, you can quickly collapse the tank, the use of oxytetracycline medicinal bath, basically can get a good effect.
Of course, in addition to the water quality, the water temperature should also be kept constant, otherwise the ornamental fish may also have colds, white spots or water mold on the body, which will also affect the water quality, and finally the above situation will occur.
The last one is that there is only one fish in the fish tank, such as the dragon fish or the luohan fish, their state is normal, the water body of the fish tank is also very large, it is impossible to have the problem of toxins exceeding the standard in the early stage of breeding, they will also have the possibility of wandering in the water, generally playing and playing, the dragon fish may be too afraid of this situation, these are not a big problem.
If they continue to be impacted by the current, they are unwilling to leave, take the isolation plate to separate them, after all, too large the impact of the current, will also lead to their fin damage, and some goldfish species, may be due to drifting, they can not control their own actions, floating on the surface of the water by the current rushing around, that is another situation, the naked eye can completely observe.
