"Analects Of The Analects Read Now": "The task is heavy and the road is long", and the work is kept for life

Zeng Zi said: "A soldier cannot fail to carry out his duties, and the task is heavy and the road is long." Isn't it important to be benevolent? Isn't it far from death?"

【Translation】

Zeng Zi said, "Intellectuals cannot be bold and resolute without being grand, because they have great responsibilities and long distances. Isn't it a great responsibility to make benevolence your own? It can't be stopped until death, isn't that a long way off?"

Zeng only promised, trembling, highlighting is religious morality. Seems rigid, dull and clumsy; Confucius also said "Samyelu". But at the same time there is such a touching and emotionally immortal language, which is precisely the characteristic of religion.

On the one hand, religious schools emphasize strict requirements and strict adherence to sub-sections, and at the same time require the establishment of a strong and indomitable great personality in various ceremonial systems that begin with sub-sections. The attainment of this great personality and the possibility of various moral acts are not based on momentary bravery, emotion, and will, but the result of long-term tempering that starts small.
