This year, the scale of the base is 13,320 mu, and the comprehensive rice and fishery breeding area is 11,570 mu. It is understood that the SDIC Xiangyu 300,000 tons of fuel ethanol project is an important measure for the State Development and Investment Corporation to serve the national energy strategy and revitalize the northeast economy. The implementation of the project will further improve the energy consumption structure and alleviate the shortage of oil resources. The landing of the project will further promote the transformation of grain, drive farmers to increase income, and stimulate local economic development.

Wang Heng, manager of the production department of Bei'an Xiangyu, introduced that the Xiangyu Biochemical Company, with a total investment of 2.7 billion yuan, is composed of grain storage, corn deep processing, railway special lines and other projects. The project was completed and put into operation in September 2015, and the grain procurement covered Bei'an City and the surrounding agriculture and forestry pastures, sister counties and cities. The total investment of corn deep processing project is 1.6 billion yuan, covering an area of 480,000 square meters, and the annual processing of corn is 600,000 tons. Construction began in August 2015 and production was officially put into operation in November 2016. In 2018, 792,000 tons of corn were processed, achieving operating income of 1.62 billion yuan and profits and taxes of 45.51 million yuan.
