"Chasing the Dragon" is a crime film produced by Yindu Agency Co., Ltd., which was just released on September 30, and is also a crime film that Wang Jing can come up with many years later, telling the story of an illegal immigrant who smuggles into the corrupt Hong Kong of British colonization and turns himself into a ruthless new drug overlord, co-starring Zhen Zidan, Andy Lau, Jiang Haowen and Xu Dongdong.
The story takes place in the 1960s and 1970s, when Hong Kong was colonized by the British, with corrupt power and social chaos. In 1963, a poor young man played by Zhen Zidan, Ahao, smuggled himself to Hong Kong and decided to fight for life with the heart of "life and death, wealth in heaven". With a few brothers, Ah Hao climbed from the bottom of the Kowloon City Walled City to the position of Hong Kong drug overlord step by step, becoming the gang boss who controlled the top ten gangs in Hong Kong, and the Jianghu people called "Lame Hao". Andy Lau's Lei Luo is a policeman, or a Chinese chief inspector who commands 30,000 police in Hong Kong, holding the "unspoken rules" of Hong Kong's public security. The prototype of "Leiluo" is Lü Le (also known as Lü Wule), who was born in Shanwei, Guangdong Province, on May 16, 1920 in Xinnan Village, Lujing Township, Haifeng County, Shanwei City, Guangdong Province, and later smuggled the whole family to Hong Kong. Also known as Lu Wule, known as Brother Le and Uncle, he has the title of "Inspector Of Five Hundred Million". He smuggled his family to Hong Kong and served as The Chief Detective Officer of the Criminal Investigation Division of the Hong Kong Police Force. During his tenure, Lü Le established a set of corruption mechanisms related to the underworld system, using his power to collude with gangsters to collect bribes.
