"Lianzhong Liuyuan", also known as "six heads of the yuan", that is, the candidates who rank first in the six links of the township test, the meeting test, the county test, the government test, the hospital test, and the temple test, can achieve the "six yuan in the lianzhong" is rare in history, and the folk have the saying that "there are three yuan in the world, and there is no six yuan in the world". “

There are only two holders of the "Six Yuan" record in history, namely huang guan of the Ming Dynasty and Qian Tang of the Qing Dynasty.

Today we single table Daming Zhuangyuan Huang Guan, Huang Guan, zi Lan Bo, Shang Bin, Chizhou Guichi (now part of Chizhou, Anhui), born in the Shuxiang family, Huang Guan's early years of the surname Xu, his father into the Xu family, Huang Guan was born, he followed his mother's surname.

Huang Guan was unusually intelligent and studious since childhood, and in his early years he studied under the famous scholar of the late Yuan Dynasty, Hanlin to be made huang mo [hān], under the influence of his teacher, he was rigorous in his studies, paid attention to the theory of the times in writing articles, and did not like to use flowery rhetoric and exaggerated brushwork.

Huang Guan participated in the township test, the meeting test, the county test and so on all the way through the barriers, all ranked first. In March of the twenty-fourth year of Hongwu (1391 AD), in the palace examination presided over by Zhu Yuanzhang, the emperor of the Ming Dynasty, the twenty-seven-year-old Huang Guan won the championship again.

Huang Guan put forward in the article "Tun soldiers plugged, and ploughing and keeping, come and refuse, go to prevent it, then China can be worry-free, the border is not safe", Huang Guan's views in the article actually coincided with Ming Taizu's ideas, deeply appreciated by the old emperor, so he was hand-picked as the first place in the title.

In the twenty-ninth year of Hongwu (1396), Huang Guan was promoted from the position of Shangbao Siqing to the position of Right Attendant of the Rebbe, and the imperial court enzhun restored the Huang surname.

In the first year of Jianwen (1399), Huang Guan was promoted to the position of Right Attendant, and participated in the reform of the old system with Fang Xiaoru and others.

During this period, Zhu Di, the King of Yan, presented himself as an imperial uncle, and when he entered the dynasty, he was arrogant and rude to Emperor Jianwen.

Zhu Di, King of Yan

Fearing the power of King Yan, the ministers did not dare to accuse him of his actions, and only Huang Guan dared to publicly rebuke King Yan: "The courtesy of the king should be performed in the great hall, and only in the palace can the uncle and nephew be described." ”

The King of Yan held a grudge against this, and soon, in the name of recruiting the traitorous ministers Qi Tai and Huang Zicheng, the King of Yan brazenly launched the Battle of Jingnan, and the army rushed to the capital, and the King of Yan announced the list of "traitors" who were in civilian positions, and Huang Guan was ranked sixth.

The "Secret History of the Jiang Clan" records that Huang Guan was ordered to write a draft edict, which was "extremely Chen Dayi", and at the same time rushed to the upper reaches of the Huai River in the counties to recruit generals to help the Beijing Division. Huang Guan "disregarded his family" and recruited warriors along the way.

When Huang Guan and his party arrived in Anqing, they heard the news that the capital had been occupied by the Yan army, the whereabouts of Emperor Jianwen were unknown, and that many officials and their families in the capital were being persecuted. ”

Huang Guan concluded that his wife had been killed, so he "summoned the soul to bury his wife on the river" by the river, and the next day, a domestic servant escaped from the city of Nanjing, found Huang Guan, informed him of the changes in the family, and the Yan army occupied the capital and demanded the imperial jade seal, and there were rumors that the jade seal was in Huang Guan's hands and was gathering soldiers and horses.

Zhu Di, the King of Yan, then sent someone to raid Huang Guan's home and forcibly mate his wife Weng and two daughters to elephant slaves who trained elephants.

Weng Shi gave the gold noodles and other jewelry on his body to the elephant slave to drink, and took the opportunity to lead his two daughters and ten family members to commit suicide by throwing themselves into the water.

Huang Guan was sad and very relieved, so he sailed the boat to the vicinity of his hometown, and after he sorted out his clothes and crown at the bow of the boat, bowed to the east, and then jumped into the river. The people on the boat rushed to the rescue, but to no avail.

The boatman only fished out a beaded brown hat. The soldiers who pursued Huang Guan rushed to the scene and salvaged Huang Guan's body in the river, but they never found it, so they had to take this hat and go back to the errands.

When Zhu Di heard the news of Huang Guan's martyrdom, he was greatly dissatisfied, so he sent people to make straw men and paraded through the streets with hats left by Huang Guan.

A distraught Zhu Di then beheaded all the men of the Huangguan clan (Huang Guan's brother Huang Jian [gòu] had a son who escaped the attack).

Zhu Di was still angry and ordered Huang Guan's status to be revoked.

All of Huang Guan's relatives were arrested and imprisoned, and during the reign of Emperor Akihito, Huang Guan's relatives were sent to the frontier.

During the reign of Emperor Jingtai, Sun Ren sent an envoy to Liaodong, and there was a veteran named Zhu Di [fú], who was working as an errand boy at the embassy at that time, and he was also implicated by Huang Guan.

Sun Ren asked him about Huang Guan's aftermath, and the veteran cried while saying, "After Weng's death, Youji fished out the bodies of her and her two daughters and buried them. ”

During the Tianshun years, someone stole the grave of Liulin in Nanjing, broke the coffin, and found that the body was well preserved, and the father and elder said: "This is Huang Zhuangyuan's wife and daughter!" ”

Huang Guan's body has never been found, and the descendants built a crown tomb in the mountain opposite Luochaji.
