The relevant personnel of the Provincial Aquatic Technology Promotion Station said that this breeding and stocking activity, as an important means to improve the ecological environment quality of the Lancang River waters and maintain the water biodiversity, will make positive contributions to the restoration and protection of the aquatic biodiversity of the Lancang River.
More than 160,000 indigenous fish were put into the Lancang And Mekong River
It is reported that during the "13th Five-Year Plan" period, Yunnan Province carried out more than 500 activities to increase and release various aquatic organisms, and released 250 million freshwater economic fish and rare and endangered aquatic animals in 6 major river systems, 9 plateau lake basins and 17 large reservoirs in the province, resulting in good ecological, social and economic benefits.
