The garden should be real, moody, undisguised, and cheerful. But there is a basis for the progress and retreat. The garden should be what people want to be, sincere, naked, unfazed, imperfect but complete. Only then does the garden make sense. Only such external things can make us a better version of ourselves.
We rejoice in refinement, we are lonely in scars, but what is it like to rejoice in imperfections? Will it make people calm and warm, away from meanness; delicate and strong, fade away from vulnerability; will understand others, but also forgive themselves; when they don't care about loss, they can always take it lightly, leave no regrets, and only ask whether they are working hard enough.
When I saw concrete, I found the answer.

There are Corbusier's concrete in the world, and there are also Tadao Ando's. There are highways and skyscrapers. But each piece is different, it is so malleable and so stubborn.
If you want to appreciate it, one of the good ways is to appreciate a small piece. You'll see bubbles, cracks, mud slabs, and what seems to freeze in an instant and slowly peel off in the days that follow.

The client in this case is a famous musician, and when the couple proposed to use concrete, Konan Garden deeply felt that it was very lucky to meet such a party!
The structure of the garden is very simple, the main space is concentrated in the north courtyard, the west side is the outdoor dining area, the east side is the leisure area, and the wood paving in the middle combined with the water feature is mainly a space for the party.

The west side of the operating platform is watered with concrete as a whole, and the platform rises from the ground to form a horizontal table and then turns down to become a flower pond. The concrete then hangs in the air on the north side, becoming a flower platform and a water feature, and then extends to the east side to become a seat.

The ground is also poured in concrete, and the entire drainage system is solved by a wooden platform in the middle. When night falls, the lights are soft and the breeze is gentle, and the gravel, concrete and wood set off the plants, creating a relaxed and pleasant garden environment.

Concrete uses its thickness and simplicity to hold up the flowers of the plants. And after the rain, the petals and veins of the leaves are often printed on this gray ground, rich and transparent... The sharp and natural texture of the material is integrated into the breath of life, creating a unique temperament of the courtyard.
