Zhu Youjue (884 – March 27, 913), also known as Zhu Youqiu (朱友球), courtesy name Yaoxi, was the second son of Zhu Wen, the grandfather of Later Liang, and the brother of Zhu Youzhen, the late Emperor of Later Liang. He was the second emperor of Later Liang during the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms period. In the second year of Qianhua (912), Zhu Youjue's father ascended the throne and changed his era name to Fengli. In the first year of the Feng Dynasty (913), Zhu Wen's son Zhu Youzhen, son-in-law Zhao Yan, and grandson Yuan Xiangxian conspired with the general Yang Shihou and others to plot a coup d'état, and Zhu Youjue ordered Feng Tingchen to kill him and Empress Zhang. He was twenty-seven years old.

During the reign of Emperor Guangqi of Tang (885-888), Zhu Wen was guarding Xuanwu in Zhen, and when he went to Song Prefecture and Bo Prefecture to expand his territory, he once led an army through BoZhou, summoned his mother to accompany him, and became pregnant. After giving birth to a boy, this is Zhu Youjue, Zhu Wen knew that after the great joy, after obtaining the consent of his wife "good prime minister" and "good staff officer" Zhang Hui, he was taken by Zhu Wen. Zhu Youjue is cunning and resourceful. In April of the first year of Kaiping (907), Zhu Wen usurped the throne as emperor and established the Later Liang regime. Zhu Wen obeyed his wife Zhang Huiyan. Unfortunately, Zhang Hui died prematurely. After the death of his wife Zhang Hui, Zhu Wenru was unruly to the wild horse, and began to indulge in eroticism, absurdity, and often summoned the wives of his sons to the palace to accompany him, Zhu Youwen's wife Wang Shi and Zhu Youjue's wife Zhang Shi were not spared, but Wang Shi was the most outstanding, and he was most favored in front of Zhu Wen. The consequence of lasciviousness is that the body is in deficit. In the second year of Qianhua (912), Zhu Wen was seriously ill and the wind in Wang's ears, Zhu Wen could not distinguish between far and near, and even wanted to pass it on to his adopted son Zhu Youwen. After Zhang Shi learned of this when he was at bedside, he took the opportunity to quickly go home and tell her husband that Zhu Youjue and his wife were crying relatively. After Zhu Youjue calmed down, he was ready to give it a go and spend a lot of money to bribe the guards and ministers in the palace. In July 912, after careful planning, Zhu Youjue led 500 tooth soldiers into the palace overnight with his henchman Zuo Longhu Army Han Xun. In the middle of the night, three times, he entered the palace, and the people who served were scared away. Zhu Youjue's pro-official Feng Tingchen stabbed Zhu Wen with a sword, Zhu Wen circled around the pillar, Zhu Wen was exhausted, collapsed on the bed, Feng Tingchen stabbed with a sword, through the abdomen, the stomach and intestines flowed out. On June 16, 912 (July 27, 912), Zhu Youjue ascended the throne before Zhu Wen's coffin. In the first month of the third year of Qianhua (913), Zhu Youjue sacrificed the heavens in the southern suburbs of Luoyang and changed his era name to Fengli.

After his father usurped the throne, Zhu Youjue took the throne, there was a loss of loyalty and filial piety, and the people's grievances were rife, and most of the meritorious generals did not support it. Zhu Youzhen plotted a coup with his brother-in-law Zhao Yan and cousin Yuan Xiangxian to overthrow Zhu Youjue. He also sent envoys to Wei Prefecture (魏州, in modern Daimyo, Hebei) to gain the support of Yang Shihou, the envoy of Wei Bojiedu. In February of the first year of the Feng calendar (913), Yuan Xiang first attacked and led thousands of forbidden troops into the palace, Zhu Youjue and his wife Empress Zhang ran downstairs of the north wall, there was no way back, Zhu Youjue ordered Feng Tingchen to kill himself and Empress Zhang, and then Feng Tingchen also committed suicide and died. Zhao Yan and Yuan Xiang first took control of Luoyang. Zhu Youzhen was proclaimed emperor.
