Due to his family's poverty, Huang Chunming dropped out of school early. In 1995, Huang Chunming, who had studied motorcycle repair for two years, opened a motorcycle repair shop at the Xingjiang Township Market. In that era when transportation was not developed, Huang Chunming earned the first pot of gold in his life by relying on his own hardships and diligence.

In 2002, by chance, Huang Chunming took the lead in starting a logistics business in Xingjiang Township. From being uninhabited to owning more than a dozen logistics vehicles, 27-year-old Huang Chunming became a rich man in Xingjiang Township. However, people who do business are destined to be "restless". In the spring of 2012, under the incomprehensible eyes of everyone, Huang Chunming gave up the logistics and transportation that had been operated for many years and had considerable benefits, returned to Chen Ye Village with all his might, and transferred more than 800 mu of woodland to plant oil tea with the help and support of the township party committee and government. However, without any experience in cultivation, in that year, the oil tea planted was "completely destroyed". "Oh, it's terrible to have no culture." Recalling those camellia trees, Huang Chunming said.
In 2013, he regrouped and planted another 800 acres of "three red" grapefruit on the mountain. "I've learned to be smart this time, and I've read a lot of books." Huang Chunming said. But heaven did not care for Huang Chunming, and in 2015, a freezing disaster occurred in Xingjiang Township, and 90% of Huang Chunming's fruit trees were frozen to death, causing millions of yuan in economic losses. "I didn't dare to go up the mountain for months, afraid to face these grapefruit trees, and my hands were shaking when I cut down the fruit trees." Speaking of the past, Huang Chunming was full of emotions.
The failure of two entrepreneurial starts has caused Huang Chunming to fall into a state of malaise for a time, and he has also become a "big fool" in the mouths of the villagers. Friends and relatives urged him to give up the fruit tree, but Huang Chunming responded emphatically, "I will never give up."
In 2016, with the help of the government, Huang Chunming took a loan of 600,000 yuan and 150,000 yuan funded by the local fruit and tea bureau, made a comeback, and also expanded the planting area from 800 mu to nearly 5,000 mu now, planting "three red" grapefruit, navel orange, oil tea, medicinal materials, Huang Chunming relied on failed experience, little by little to turn himself into a "Baoshan" big household.
From semi-illiterate to bamboo rat experts

In 2016, Huang Chunming went to Yunnan, Guangxi, Guangdong, Fujian and other places to study the breeding technology of bamboo rats, and successfully obtained a graduation certificate at the Guangxi Bamboo Rat Training School. "At that time, I was in a hurry, so I quickly checked the information, consulted the experts by phone, and finally controlled it with traditional Chinese medicine." Huang Chunming said that since these small episodes appeared, he spent all day in the breeding base to study, and a year later, through his own efforts, successfully applied for 6 patents on bamboo rats.
"This is the Chinese bamboo rat, this is the Red Gorge, the bamboo rat is not difficult to raise, the key is breeding, the rat's physique is good and easy to conceive; the bamboo rat is generally afraid of low temperature in winter, bacterial pollution, these will not be a problem if they are controlled in advance; winter lies in the control of temperature, and the key to bacterial pollution is to see whether the sanitary environment is clean..." Talking about bamboo rat breeding skills, Huang Chunming said that the head is the Tao, like an expert.
Not only that, Huang Chunming also started modern pig breeding in the mountains. Today, Huang Chunming's bamboo rat breeding base has more than 7,000 pigs, and more than 2,000 pigs are stored in the farm. The planting base has developed 5,000 mu, of which 800 mu of "three red" grapefruit and navel orange, 1,500 mu of oil tea, 1,000 mu of moso bamboo, 500 mu of medicinal materials, and 1,200 mu of economic forest.
From "for yourself" to "for others"
"I came out of poverty and tasted poverty, so I don't want the villagers to continue to be poor, I can help as much as I can." Huang Chunming said.
When the cause was slowly becoming effective, Huang Chunming invested in the establishment of the Ganzhou Ronghua Fruit Planting Professional Cooperative, gave play to the radiation and leading role of the base, and explored a mechanism of "changing forest rights into equity", "capital into shares", and "farmers into shareholders", helping poor households to join the cooperative, steadily increasing the economic income of poor households, and making poor households become bosses.

In addition to simply arranging for poor households to join the cooperative, Huang Chunming also established a mechanism for linking the interests of poor households through the operation mode of cooperatives + poor households, and expanded the path for poor households to get rich.
For poor households with the ability to work, the cooperative will distribute 5 pairs of bamboo rat seedlings to poor households free of charge, and build fences free of charge, provide technical support in its breeding process, and avoid feeding risks for poor households, and when the bamboo rats are out of the pen, the cooperative will then make a unified purchase at a price not less than the market price, eliminating the sales channels and price concerns of poor households, and ensuring that poor households can maximize their interests when they are out of the pen. For poor households without labor, cooperatives implement custody adoption dividends.
"This year I raised 5 pairs of bamboo rats, bamboo rats breed at least three times a year, breeding bamboo rats for more than 2 months can sell money, each can only sell more than 200 yuan, the annual net income is at least 7,000 yuan." Huang Yuming said happily. Nowadays, Huang Yuming not only has the income of bamboo rats, but also arranges to work in the bamboo rat base, with a monthly income of 1800 yuan, achieving an annual income of at least 20,000 yuan.
At present, the radiation of the cooperative has driven more than 400 poor households in the surrounding areas to increase their income, and from 2016 to 2017, a total of more than 400,000 yuan of dividends were issued to the poor households that have invested in the shares, and at the same time, more than 800,000 yuan was advanced for 360 poor households to build bamboo rat pen houses.
