Li Hui (李復) was a native of Yuyuan County, Jianning (present-day Chengjiang County, Yuxi City, Yunnan Province). In 214, Liu Bei sent Li Hui to Hanzhong to plot against Ma Chao successfully. Soon after, Liu Zhang surrendered, and Liu Bei took the lead of Yizhou Mu and appointed Li Hui as the chief of Gong Cao Zuo (the official who took charge of the official's meritorious deeds). In the first year of the Shu Han Dynasty (i.e., Liu Bei) Zhang Wu (221 CE), Liu Bei sent Li Hui to be the governor of The Capital, stationed in Pingyi County (平夷嫻, between present-day Pu'an and Liuzhi, Guizhou), and concurrently served as the Assassin of Jiaozhou. Taking Li Hui to lead the history of Jiaozhou assassination, it was Shu Han who posed to compete with Wu for the territory of Jiaozhou, and at this point, Li Hui had become a "big member" of Shu Han alone. Later, Zhuge Liang killed Gao Ding and Pingyong Buqu, captured Meng, and Li Hui closely echoed them, pursuing the north and south, with the most military merits, and named Li Hui the "Marquis of Hanxingting" (Hanxing near present-day Xingyi, Guizhou). In the early autumn of the third year of Jianxing, Li Hui was stationed in Dianchi County (present-day Jincheng, Jinning County, Yunnan, Yizhou County), and Nanzhong Pingding. Yizhou Commandery was then changed to Jianning Commandery (建宁郡), with Li Hui as taishou (太守), the general of Jia'an Han (加安汉), leading the governor of the prefecture to the prefecture and moving the county to Wei County (in present-day Qujing, Yunnan). Li Hui served as the governor of the seven counties of Nanzhong, and directly controlled Jianning County, the central region of Nanzhong. In the fifth year of Jianxing (227), Zhuge Liang said in the "Table of Departures": "Now that the south has been determined, the armor has been sufficient, and the three armies have been awarded, and the central plains have been fixed in the north." As a result, the Shuai army was stationed in Hanzhong in the north and began to compete with Cao Wei. The formation of this situation is inseparable from Li Hui's fulfillment of the strategic task of stabilizing Nanzhong. In the ninth year of Jianxing (231 AD), Li Hui died in Hanzhong. In present-day Chengjiang County, there is the tomb of Li Hui.
