Located in Qiqihar City, Heilongjiang Province, the Zalong Wetland Ecological Reserve belongs to the northern temperate continental monsoon climate and is the most primitive and species-rich wetland natural complex in the same latitude. It has an area of 210,000 hectares
It is composed of many small shallow lakes and vast meadows and grasslands, with longitudinal rivers and lakes and swamps, and the wetland ecology is well maintained.
Among them, the red-crowned crane, the white-naped crane, the white-headed crane, the boudoir crane, the white crane and the gray crane are all first- and second-class animals under national key protection.
Every year from April to May, more than 200 red-crowned cranes come here to roost and breed, and the number of white cranes is nearly 1,000, which continue to migrate north to Russia after staying here, which is a migratory resting bird.
