In this book, he recounts that the Weaving and Dyeing Bureau once dyed a new color called "Light Luo on the Sea", just as the light of the sea stained the robe. This robe was worn by the palace ladies in the spring. When wearing this dress, you must wear azure and bamboo green luo on the outside, just like the color that makes the outside of the sea wave, lining the red inside. Twilight purple is a color that appears in many poems. Today's book hoarder and everyone's "display" of knowledge is actually derived from the book "Traditional Chinese Colors: Color Aesthetics in the Forbidden City". It was jointly written by cultural scholar Guo Hao and Li Jianming, cultural and creative designer of the Forbidden City, and it took two full years to read nearly 400 Chinese and Japanese color-related literature and classics, and a total of 384 traditional Chinese colors were examined.
In the book, the authors make a detailed interpretation of the origin of the name of each color and the meaning it contains. According to the 24 solar terms and 72 phenology, 96 pieces of the Forbidden City cultural relics were selected from hundreds of thousands of cultural relics, and the color of the cultural relics was restored and presented by hand painting, and the traditional Chinese color spectrum was extracted.
