【Jiangsu News】In order to further implement the normalized prevention and control measures of the new crown pneumonia epidemic and improve the nucleic acid detection capacity of medical institutions, on the afternoon of October 30, the Fort Lee Central Health Center conducted centralized training for nucleic acid sampling personnel in the fort Lee defense area in the conference room on the fifth floor of the outpatient clinic. Each of the 10 nucleic acid samplers is formed into a group, and each group has a team leader, for a total of eight teams.

Yang Xiaojuan, nurse in charge of the Fort Lee Central Health Center and head nurse, gave a lecture on the knowledge of "New Coronavirus Detection and Sampling". They were explained in detail from the preparation before sampling, blood collection, antibody collection, oropharyngeal swab collection, nasopharyngeal swab collection, what type of sample to choose, fecal and rectal swabs, food, environmental sampling, material of swabs and sampling tubes, sampling tubes, sample packaging, waste disposal, protective equipment unloading, clearance disinfection, sample preservation and transfer, and testing processes.

Shi Pei, the nurse in charge, conducted an on-site demonstration of the standardized use of personal protective equipment for medical staff, how to wear and take off protective equipment, and gave detailed answers and guidance to the questions raised in the on-site demonstration of the use of protective equipment.

After the training, the eight team members were assessed for the collection of oropharyngeal swabs, so that the participants could more intuitively understand the details of the operation.

Through this training and assessment, the participants mastered the requirements and processes of new coronavirus testing and sampling, and passed the operation assessment. This training has improved the proficiency and accuracy of nucleic acid sampling and personal protection skills of medical staff, provided strong technical support for strengthening the prevention and control of the epidemic in autumn and winter, strengthening the screening of key populations, and taking precautions for emergencies.
