Huang Nubo: Returning the mountain without saying a word

Huang Nubo: Returning the mountain without saying a word

Leju Finance Lin Zhenxing was sent from Beijing

"Heroes will eventually return to The Buddha when they are old, and famous generals will return to the mountains without saying a word." Huang Nubo took the banner off the wall of his office and carefully rolled it up. The 63-year-old Huang Nubo wants to clear his career of the past four decades and start again.

As the chairman of Zhongkun Investment Group, Huang Nubo has held a number of titles with his own aura: a famous Philanthropist in China, a rich man in Forbes China, an outstanding alumnus of Peking University, and a poet. But what he longs for most is to be a wandering poet, wandering in the mountains.

Today, the company is facing various rumors such as untrustworthy disputes and asset sales, and he obviously has no wandering mood.

"Blooming" youth

"Memories are a poison that can hurt you, and I rarely encourage myself to reminisce." Huang Nubo did not dare to recall, but as a public figure, he could not avoid revealing his scars to people again and again. Orphaned at the age of 13, he wandered the streets all day, and hunger was always with him when he was a teenager.

At the age of 16, Huang Nubo rode a two-hour bicycle to the Yellow River, and the muddy water of the Yellow River encroached on the embankment meter by meter. He swore in the face of the rolling Yellow River: "In my life, I will be like the angry waves of the Yellow River, never stop!" So he changed his name "Huang Yuping" to "Huang Nubo".

After graduating from middle school, Huang Nubo was sent to the countryside of Ningxia to join the team as a Zhiqing. In 1977, the state had just resumed the college entrance examination. At that time, the only indicator of Ningxia's peking university fell on Tonggui Township, and the masses jointly recommended Huang Nubo, because "there is culture, can write poetry, knows the youth well, and has a good mass foundation."

Since then, the door of fate has opened to him, graduated from the Chinese Department of Peking University, entered the Central Propaganda Department, and at the age of 29 became the youngest director in the history of the Central Propaganda Department. When he was in the official arena, he was awakened by Chekov's "The Death of a Little Civil Servant", and he was afraid that he would also become Chekov's protagonist.

Just when the wave of reform and opening up was surging forward, Huang Nubo resigned and went to the sea. At that time, people who went to the sea were called "businessmen" or "self-employed", with a slight sense of suspicion and impure social sentiment.

Overnight, Huang Nubo, a merchant in the sea, lost the protection of power, walked out of the office door, put down the pen pole, and went to negotiate with the peddlers and pawns, opening and closing his mouth to money. During that time, the image of the loach was like a magic spell, which had been imprisoned in Huang Nubo's heart. He always reminded himself, "Don't have the luxury of a carp jumping the dragon gate, you must have the spirit of loach, you must always be restless, you must stir up trouble, and you must survive tenaciously." ”

In the mid-1990s, Huang Nubo was the head of the City Publishing House under the China Mayors Association, and the publishing house was not running well, so the Ministry of Construction allowed Huang Nubo to set up a consulting company, and Zhongkun Company was established. Originally a department with a clear soup and a small amount of water, it was actually run by him.

In 1997, Huang Nubo earned the real first pot of gold in his life and also met the first nobleman. At that time, he cooperated with Li Ming, a classmate of China Europe International Business School (currently the chairman of the board of directors of Sino-Ocean Group), to develop the "City Netscape" real estate, and earned 50 million yuan through real estate.

Huang Nubo is a cultural person in his bones, he seizes the scarce resources of ancient culture and ancient villages, and even uses the money earned from real estate projects to subsidize the tourism sector. The creation of a world cultural heritage, Anhui Hongcun, is what Huang Nubo considers to be his greatest achievement.

After the first expedition, Hongcun did not impress Zhongkun's executives well, who were opposed to getting involved in the project. But Huang Nubo liked it at a glance, the 800-year-old quaint village, the ancient buildings in the village were well preserved, and the gray tile white walls like ink paintings touched his softest poet feelings.

In 1997, when Zhongkun began to gain strength, he invested 4 million yuan for the tourism development and cultural protection of Hongcun, and found Professor Chen Zhihua of Tsinghua University to cooperate in the protection plan of Hongcun Ancient Village, and spent millions of yuan to build roads and hotels in Hongcun.

At the beginning of the development, the villagers in the village were very unsympathetic, believing that Huang Nubo was a businessman who could only make money. It was not until 2000, when Hongcun was rated as a World Cultural Heritage Site and the annual ticket income exceeded 100 million, that the villagers felt that he was reliable.

Anhui Hongcun is the first project of Zhongkun Tourism Real Estate, but Huang Nubo's foot on the tourism real estate sector is getting longer and longer. In 2012, Huang Nubo became popular for "acquiring" Iceland. Although later, for various reasons, Huang Nubo changed to rent and rented 300 square kilometers of Iceland' land.

Untrustworthy

In addition to tourism real estate, Huang Nubo has also developed two famous projects in Beijing, the Changhewan in Xizhimen and the Dazhongsi International Plaza in the North Third Ring Road, which have established his position in the real estate industry.

On February 15, the news of "today's headlines spent 9 billion yuan to acquire Zhongkun Square of the Great Bell Temple" circulated in the circle of friends. The Zhongkun Plaza, which cost more than 4 billion yuan, is Huang Nubo's first big-scale attempt at commercial real estate, and it was the last new and largest urban complex project within Beijing's third ring road.

Since the start of construction in 2004, Zhongkun Square has had a lot of fate. Huang Nubo once described its progress: "The demolition of more than 3,000 households in the early stage of the Dazhongsi project took two years, during which SARS made all migrant workers have to go home and wait, and on the eve of the Olympic Games, they could not do anything a year in advance, it was difficult to enter 2008, the financial crisis began, all real estate developers began to lack money, and then 60 years of Daqing, construction had to stagnate. ”

In 2010, Zhongkun Plaza was officially opened, but it has been tepid since its opening. In the second half of 2013, Zhongkun Group announced the change of Zhongkun Square to an office building, which was boycotted by more than 1,200 small owners.

To this day, this prime-run commercial center has come to the final stage because of poor operation. Since the beginning of 2018, KFC, Yoshinoya and other merchants located in Block E of Zhongkun Square of the Great Bell Temple have begun to withdraw one after another, and Zhongkun Square was once in a state of empty buildings.

In January this year, Zhongkun Plaza was successfully restructured by the People's Government of Haidian District of Beijing Municipality, becoming the first case of multi-unit entity aggregation by the government, production and investment parties, capital parties, property rights parties, and various creditors and debts as complementary advantages. "Only when the phoenix is reborn in the fire can it be nirvana", Huang Nubo was deeply touched by this reorganization.

If the acquisition of Zhongkun Square is just the tip of the iceberg, many of Huang Nubo's companies have been written off but gradually surfaced. According to the enterprise investigation, Huang Nubo is affiliated with 16 companies and serves as a legal person, covering education, sports, catering and real estate. Among them, 12 companies were cancelled, 1 moved out, 1 survived, and only two companies, such as Beijing DaxingMeiya School and Beijing Zhongkun Tennis Club Co., Ltd., were in business.

Since 2014, Huang Nubo and his associated Zhongkun family have been listed as "executors" more than 10 times. For enterprises, being on the blacklist of untrustworthiness is equivalent to blocking the road to bank loans.

Of course, when interpreting Huang Nubo's business classics, it cannot be ignored that he is a poet, and he has published many poetry collections under the pseudonym Luo Ying. From doing Anhui Hongcun to building cultural tourism projects in Iceland, almost every step of Zhongkun Group is determined by Huang Nubo's "poet characteristics".

As a company positioned as a tourism real estate, the official website can hardly see too much product-related news, Huang Nubo's dealings with the field of poetry occupy a huge space, and the company's strategic partners are also some academic institutions such as the Department of Chinese of Peking University and the Chinese Poetry Society.

Like Wang Shi, Huang Nubo is also a mountaineer. Fourteen years ago, because of Hemingway's "The Snow of Kilimanjaro", Huang Nubo reached the top of Kilimanjaro for the first time. From this time on, it was out of control. In 2008, Huang Nubo reached the sixth highest peak in the world and recited the poem "Ode to Zhuo Aoyou" at the summit, becoming the person who recited poetry at the highest altitude in the world. Huang Nubo's footprints have traveled to the highest peaks on the seven continents of the world and the north and south poles, and he has climbed Mount Everest three times, and he has traveled the world in a way that challenges the limits. He prides himself on being a mountaineer and a poet, and mountaineering and poetry are the most indisputable passions of his life.

In his list of mountaineering friends, Wang Shi, Wang Jian and others are naturally indispensable. In 2011, he chased after Wang Shi and Wang Qiuyang to complete his personal "7+2" (climbing the highest peaks of the seven continents and hiking the North and South Poles) plan. He once confessed to Wang Shi: "I am not so great, but I am not so small. ”

When climbing the mountain, Huang Nubo has witnessed death many times and repeatedly brushed past death, but he will still choose to end his life by "climbing the mountain and sliding down from the top of the mountain". He said that what matters is not how to go up the mountain, but how to go down the mountain, as important as climbing the mountain.

Today, in the face of Zhongkun, who has been walking down the mountain road, Huang Nubo may no longer be calm.
