The South Korean movie "Big Tiger" tells the story of a hunting team hunting the last tiger known as "Shanjun" during the Japanese occupation of North Korea.
The protagonist, Chimantoku, is a famous hunter who once hunted a tiger for his livelihood when he was young and released two small tigers that followed the tiger. He also fed the two baby tigers with some wild animals he had acquired from hunting, and when the little tigers grew up, they lost contact. He is very humane, does not "fish in the water", and shows warmth everywhere. However, when the tiger grew up, it became the target of the hunting team' siege. When the hunting team searched for the tiger, "Shanjun" ran to the village, and Qianmande chased to the bamboo forest near the village and accidentally killed his wife, but "Shanjun" did not bite him. He was psychologically devastated, never hunted again, and relied on his son for his life. The tiger became his mental wound and the culprit for his languishing and messy life. In fact, he had to fight the tiger and injure his wife by mistake, but he could not do anything about reality, and could only compete with himself.
When his son reached the age of sixteen, he could not afford the bride price and wanted to break up with the girl of the green plum bamboo horse. Qianmande did not think so, but his son fell out with him and followed the hunting team to the mountains to hunt "Shan Jun". "Shan jun" was blind in one eye when he was young, and his mate tigress and two baby tigers were killed by the hunting team, and "Shan Jun" wanted to take revenge on Xue. The hunting team entered the mountain and was bitten to death by the "Mountain Jun", including the son of Qian mande.
His son was taken away by the wolves, and the "mountain king" snatched his son from the mouth of the wolves and sent him to his eyes. He was so indignant that he burned the house and the body of his son, and wanted to fight the "mountain king" to the death. At this point, the tiger "Shanjun" has completely become a man-eating tiger and a spiritual symbol of North Korea's resistance to the Japanese army. After Qianmande lost his son, he was psychopathic, he couldn't beat the Japanese, and he couldn't duel with the captain of the hunting team who had been his deputy, so he could only duel with "Shan Jun", his chances of winning were not much, it was simply suicide.
The Japanese sent elite troops, together with the hunting team, into the mountains, blew up the forest trees, narrowed the encirclement, but still could not succeed, and were bitten to death by the "mountain jun". The captain of the hunting team was also bitten to death by the "Mountain Jun", and when they slowly climbed to the top of the mountain in the snow and wind, Qian mande was already there waiting for the "Mountain Jun". After "Shan Jun" appeared, Qian Mande fired a shot and did not kill "Shan Jun", "Shan Jun" pounced on him and fell off the cliff with him.
Most of the Japanese troops were crippled and had to retreat, ending in failure. The hunting team fell to pieces, the captain was bitten to death, the Qianmande family was destroyed, and none of the tiger families survived.
