Talk about party building: conscientiously perform duties and take the initiative
Nanfang Daily, Nanfang +: What party building work has your chamber of commerce carried out? How to lay a solid foundation for party building and better play its role as a fortress?
Qishi Town Federation of Industry and Commerce (Chamber of Commerce): We mainly carry out party building work from three aspects: conscientiously performing our duties, improving the quality and ability of party members, and taking the initiative. At present, there are 10 official party members in the party branch of the chamber of commerce, including 1 secretary and 2 committee members. There are already 5 active members who have joined the party, which shows that we have achieved certain results in the training of reserve party members.
Under the support and guidance of the Dongguan Federation of Industry and Commerce and the Party Committee of Dongguan Non-public Economic Organizations for the Party Building of our Chamber of Commerce, we regularly hold branch committee meetings to study and deploy party building work, draw up work plans for the next year, and clarify the division of duties and annual tasks for secretaries and committee members to grasp party building. In addition, the party branch of the Chamber of Commerce actively responded to the call of the Dongguan Municipal Party Committee, the Municipal Government, the United Front Work Department of the Dongguan Municipal Party Committee, and the Dongguan Federation of Industry and Commerce (General Chamber of Commerce), promoted the combination of party building and the precise assistance work of "10,000 enterprises helping 10,000 villages", and effectively grasped the counterpart assistance work of the two villages in Qishi Town and 8 poor villages in Poji Town, Xiong County, Zhaotong City, Yunnan Province, to solve the problems of rural revitalization project construction and environmental governance.

Qishi Town Federation of Industry and Commerce (Chamber of Commerce): Mainly to improve the quality and ability of party members themselves. Our party branch guides party members to actively strengthen the study of various businesses, especially the party's basic theories and basic knowledge, enrich theoretical and professional knowledge through study documents, collective discussions, and other forms, and conscientiously understand the spirit of the instructions of the party group of the Municipal Federation of Industry and Commerce, the Qishi Town Party Committee, and the town government.
We insist on making good use of the weapon of criticism and self-criticism, constantly improving our own party spirit and constantly advancing the party's cause. In March this year, the party branch of the Chamber of Commerce held the 2020 annual democratic life meeting, and the members of the party branch team dared to self-criticize and criticize each other, and also carefully analyzed the reasons for the problems existing in self-examination, put forward effective rectification measures, and promoted the purification and improvement of party members and cadres themselves.

What public welfare activities has your Chamber of Commerce participated in?
Qishi Town Federation of Industry and Commerce (Chamber of Commerce): The Chamber of Commerce has the courage to assume social responsibilities and obligations, and actively supports the development of charity in the town. First, we actively participate in the Guangdong Poverty Alleviation Day and Dongguan Charity Day, and our cumulative donations have reached 5.5 million yuan. The second is to carry out the Spring Festival condolence activities, we have gone to the Qishi Town Respect for the Elderly Home to carry out the Spring Festival condolence activities, sending holiday blessings and condolences to the elderly, so that the elderly feel the love of the social family. We have also carried out the Spring Festival support for the military and preferential family condolence activities, to the veterans to comfort, to narrow the distance between the Chamber of Commerce and the veterans, so that the veterans truly feel the care from the society.

Qishi Town Federation of Industry and Commerce (Chamber of Commerce): As a social organization with the spirit of great love, the Qishi Town Federation of Industry and Commerce (Chamber of Commerce) has always adhered to the principle of "serving the society and serving the hometown", and at the critical moment when the whole country is fighting the new crown pneumonia epidemic, all party members of the party branch of the chamber of commerce actively participate in the epidemic prevention and control work activities. At the beginning of the epidemic, our chamber of commerce donated 1.39 million yuan to the people's government of Qishi Town (a special account for social donations) for the procurement of medical protective masks and other medical supplies, which were specially used to fight the epidemic. With the support and guidance of the United Front Work Department of the Municipal Party Committee, the Municipal Federation of Industry and Commerce and other departments, the Chamber of Commerce has actively promoted member enterprises to respond to the epidemic efficiently and resume work and production as soon as possible.
