In the early 1970s, the revolutionary film "Shining Red Star", shot by the fourth film crew of the Bayi Film Studio of the people's liberation army of the Chinese, was mainly filmed and filmed in Fuliang County, under the jurisdiction of Jingdezhen, Jiangxi, and many shots were filmed in Yaoli Ancient Town.
This is the first color domestic feature film filmed in the late stage of the "Cultural Revolution", which became famous in one fell swoop, not only allowing countless audiences to remember the movie, but also remembering the beautiful scenery of Yaoli Town, and the interlude "Shining Red Star" has become a red song classic that has been sung for half a century.
"Yaoli Ancient Town is not only the birthplace of Jingdezhen ceramics, but also the holy land of the Red Revolution." Red Past
According to the official information of Fuliang County in Jingdezhen, Yaoli Town is known as the "source of porcelain, the hometown of tea, and the sea of forests", and was once a world-famous ceramic holy land, and it is also the naming place of the world's kaolin minerals, with 127 ancient mine pits, 67 ancient kiln sites, 149 water urns, 600 ancient workshops, and 100 ancient docks. At the beginning of the Song Dynasty, due to the development of the ceramic industry, there were many porcelain kilns and were commonly known as "kilns", people flourished, and villages were connected. At the end of the Qing Dynasty, due to the decline of the porcelain industry, it was elegantly called "Yaoli".
This scenic ancient town is also a holy place of the Red Revolution.
"Comrade Chen Yi has lived in our town of Yaoli for a long time." Fang Xinxin, a staff member of the Yaoli Town People's Government, told the surging news.
During the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, at the end of January 1938, Chen Yi went to Yaoli to guide the reorganization of the Red Army guerrillas. On February 10 of the same year, he held a mass anti-Japanese oath meeting in the ancestral hall of the Yao Mile Family. Subsequently, the reorganized troops bid farewell to the people of the Anhui-Zhejiang-Gansu Border Region and marched to the Yan temple in Shexian County, southern Anhui Province, where the New Fourth Army was assembled, and rushed to the anti-Japanese battlefield.
Chen Yi's former residence, formerly known as "Jingyi Hall", was once built by Wu Guangrong of Dengrenlang during the Jiaqing period of the Qing Dynasty.
From December 1937 to January 1938, Chen Yi went to Yaoli twice to guide the reorganization of the Red Army guerrillas, and he lived and worked in the "Jingyi Hall".
Yaoli Ancient Town has preserved chen Yi's former residence (the new fourth army's garrison), the venue of the anti-Japanese mobilization conference, the new fourth army garrison site, and the Yaoli reorganization monument and many other revolutionary historical sites.
In the exhibition hall of Chen Yi's former residence, the reorganization of guerrillas and Red Army guerrillas in Yaoli in the early years was recorded and displayed in the form of pictures and texts, as well as the course traveled by the New Fourth Army after the reorganization.
The red past that happened here is highly consistent with the plot presented in "Shining Red Star".

Because of the similar appearance, height and age of Zhu Xinyun, the protagonist who plays "Pan Dongzi", he was photographed by the crew and let him serve as a temporary stuntman.
Zha Xinqing, a villager in Dongbu Village, Yaoli Town, was once a temporary stand-in for "Pan Dongzi".
"I was born in 1962, the same year as him (Wishing New Luck)." Cha Xinqing said that he was only a teenager at the time, was in the fifth grade of elementary school, and was excited about the novelty of participating in the film shooting. Throughout the film, there are tens of seconds of stand-in shots, crossing bridges, chopping ropes, including climbing old trees and watching the Arrival of the Red Army.
On National Day in 1974, "Shining Red Star" was officially released, instantly popular all over the country, triggering the enthusiasm of young children across the country to "learn Pan Dongzi", and as a temporary stuntman of "Pan Dongzi", Zha Xinqing also felt and honored.
"I've watched this film many times." Cha Xinqing said.
After the reform and opening up, Zha Xinqing once went out to work and went to coastal cities to earn money and earn a living. He has done a lot of business, learned the knowledge of traditional Chinese medicine, consulted for people, sold Chinese herbal medicines, obtained the "Accounting Certificate", and worked as a financial accountant in the enterprise, but in the end he returned to Dongbu Village and became a well-known mason.
"I came back mainly because my children were young and my parents were older." Cha Xinqing said that although participating in the filming of "Shining Red Star" did not affect the direction of his life, the short experience left him with unforgettable memories.
"It was a big thing to be involved in filmmaking before." Wu Jingjing, former secretary of the Dongbu Village branch of Yaoli Town, said.
In the early 1970s, the filming of "Shining Red Star" was a "political task" of lofty significance.
In order to ensure the smooth shooting of the film, the leaders of the General Office of the Jiangxi Provincial CPC Committee and the Provincial Military Region repeatedly telegraphed the Jingdezhen Municipal Revolutionary Committee and the Municipal People's Armed Forces Department to complete it as a political task.
The General Office of the Jiangxi Provincial CPC Committee and the Provincial Military Region have dispatched vehicles for the crew to use, and the Jingdezhen Municipal Revolutionary Committee and the Municipal People's Armed Forces Department have also dispatched cadres from various units to the film crew to be responsible for liaison and assistance, including vacating guest houses and auditoriums for the troops who co-shoot.
Due to the long-term presence of the film crew, many local villagers participated in the filming as extras.
Zha Changle, the old branch secretary of Dongbu Village, also served as a group actor in "Shining Red Star".
Wu Jingjing also worked as a mass actor in "Shining Red Star", but because he wore a straw hat in the play, he blocked his face, but now that he recalls that shooting time, he still feels very kind.
"We didn't know how the movie was made before, but after making 'Shining Red Star,' we finally knew how the movie was made." Wu Jingjing said.
In the early 1970s, Chinese color films had just started, so "Shining Red Star" allowed audiences across the country to appreciate the beautiful local scenery and cultural landscapes, and the covered bridges, ancient trees, old buildings and ancient villages in the film left a deep impression on countless audiences.
"Shining Red Star" has had a great influence, and since then, many film and television crews have also filmed locally, and the main theme film and television dramas such as "Blue and White", "Dedicate Everything to the Party" and "Talk about the Yangtze River" have been filmed here, making the ancient towns and villages that were once hidden in the mountains become well-known tourist destinations in the country.

Wu Lifeng's intention is simple - "Shining Red Star" represents the red memory of a special era.
"The older generation remembers it." Wu Lifeng said that when the film was filmed in the ancient town, he was only seven or eight years old and did not have the opportunity to participate in the shooting, but he often watched "Shining Red Star" on TV.
"There are a lot of scenes in the movie that I'm familiar with." Wu Lifeng said.
Although the ancient town of Yaoli has beautiful mountains and clear waters, in the early days of reform and opening up, the local economic environment was not good. In the 1990s, he went to Ningbo to work as a street lamp maintenance worker in a municipal company for more than 10 years, but with the change of economic environment in his hometown, he also decided to return to the ancient town, engage in tourism, and earn money at the doorstep of his home.
Beginning in 2019, he decided to spend a lot of money to build "Shining Red Star", a red-themed farmhouse that integrates dining and accommodation.
"Shining Red Star" subtly brings changes to the ancient town.
In the early years, under the influence of "Shining Red Star", Yaoli attracted countless tourists with its superior natural endowments and historical culture, and the local government also keenly regarded tourism as an important means of ecological protection and improvement of economic and people's livelihood.
