In 2019's Godzilla: King of the Monsters, there have been a number of Titan behemoths, in addition to the slain Ghidorah, raton, Mothra, Behemoth, Skoura, Massarah, Queen Muto and so on. In order to satisfy people's curiosity, the next "Godzilla vs. King Kong" (gvk) will definitely add more strange Titans, and today I intend to speculate about the giant beasts that may appear for you.
GRP
It is stated in advance that this article is only some irresponsible speculation by the author on the upcoming "gvk", which does not have universal and reference value.
The Monster Cinematic Universe was co-created by Legendary Pictures and Warner Bros., so we can see the logos of the two companies in the opening credits of the movie Godzilla: King of the Monsters, showing the four Titan monsters in the form of ancient murals, and it is from these two titles that we can find some clues.
Legends and Warner's opening logo
Let's talk about the Legendary Pictures logo, the Titan on the right does not need to be introduced, it is the Behemoth we see at the end of the movie, which responds to the call of the King of the Monsters after Godzilla defeats Ghidorah, and bows to Godzilla with the other Titans (it is the only of the four Titans to show his face in the positive film).
Behemoth
However, the Titan located to the left of the Legendary Pictures logo is a bit strange, some people think it is Raton, the problem is that Raton does not have such a long tail; and the wings of this giant beast have feathered patterns, and Raton's wings are closer to pterosaurs, so I speculate that this Titan may be the feathered snake god of the Aztec civilization.
Raton
Also known as Kukulkan, the feathered serpent god, whose totem can be found in both Central and South America, is thought to be a snake with feathered wings. There are many speculations about the origin of this image, but it is more reliable that the feathered snake god represents the fusion of divinity and humanity, its feathered wings symbolize the supremacy of divine power and selflessness, while the body of the snake symbolizes the ordinary side, and sometimes anger and plague.
Feather snake god
Friends who have played World of Warcraft should be familiar with him, Zug's final boss Haka is based on the image of the feathered serpent god, and the prototype of the occamy in Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is also his.
Haka
In the cartoon "Godzilla: Bird Paradise", the feathered snake god once appeared, but the crew made some small changes to it, adding two legs under him to make it look like a bird with a snake's tail, so the feathered snake god we see in this logo also has legs.
Let's look at warner's logo, the Titan on the left looks like a lion, but if you look closely, you can notice the horns extending from its head and the scaly fur covering its body.
This shape is very much in line with the goddess Sykemet in ancient Egyptian legends, and there is a brief shot in the film that captures the Imperial Order's outpost 65 in Egypt, where the titans monitored are called Sykemet.
Sycomet
In ancient Egyptian legend, Sekmet was the daughter of the supreme god "Ra", described as a female warrior of the lion-headed man, and often went out hunting in the form of a wild beast, and was recognized by the ancient Egyptians as the fiercest hunter.
In the Monster Universe, Sycomet is a horned quadruped beast with a body shape and habits very close to that of mammals. According to the script of King of the Monsters, Sycomet also received a summons from the orca device to go to Boston, but may not have had time to catch Godzilla's "coronation" [black line] due to distance.
To the right of the Warner logo is a three-headed Titan creature, but it won't be Ghidorah, as it's obvious that it has four legs and Ghidorah has only two.
Looking at the Titan World Map of the Imperial Organization, it seems that the only person who fits this shape description is the Japanese Yagi Great Snake.
Titan World Map
The Yagi Great Snake is a well-known monster in Japan, believed to have eight heads and eight tails, belonging to a monster born when heaven and earth were conceived, feeding on virgins, and was eventually killed by the legendary swordsman Susanoo. The kusanagi sword held by Emperor Naruhito of Japan when he succeeded to the throne is said to have been hidden in the body of the Great Serpent of Yagi.
Yagi Great Snake
There are countless works involved in it, whether it is movies, animations or games, there are too many examples here.
As the most famous monster in Japan, the Yaki Great Snake certainly has to show its face in the Monster Universe, but from the setting draft that flows out, the Yagi Great Snake in the Monster Universe has been added with a huge body and four legs, which looks almost exactly like the Hydra of Western legend.
There is also a Titan that will appear in GVK, which was revealed by the official himself, named Kamazoz.
Camazoz
Kamazoz is an ancient god of mayan civilization legends, resembling a giant bat. Bats are nocturnal animals, so for the Maya they symbolized night and death.
In the annual grand sacrifices of the Maya, Camazoz is one of the main objects of worship. People wear bat masks during the ceremony and offer sacrifices to the god of the night with reverence. It is said that the inspiration for dc Batman's creation mainly came from Camazoz.
Artistic creation of Batman Mayan style mask
According to information revealed by the film's publicist during a comic exhibition, Camazoz, as a Titan behemoth, looks more like a hybrid of a dragon and a bat, with no hair and a demon-like horn on its head.
And it's almost certain that Camazoz will fight King Kong on Skull Island, and it's still unclear where the Titan Beast came from. However, we can be sure that King Kong will grow rapidly in gvk (at least to the size of Godzilla), and the sad Karmazoz is likely to be just a cushion stone after the ability of the Skull Island Overlord is activated.
Well, the Titan Behemoth that may appear in the next Godzilla vs. King Kong will introduce you here, if you are interested in this aspect, click follow me, I will continue to update you on this content.
