The geographical indication of "Wujiang green shrimp" agricultural products passed the provincial on-site verification

On July 1, the Jiangsu Provincial Green Office Landmark Expert Group went to Wujiang to conduct on-site verification of the declaration of the geographical indication of "Wujiang Green Shrimp" agricultural products.

At the Wanqing Aquaculture Base, the expert group inspected the Wujiang Shrimp Germplasm Resources Protection Demonstration Base on the spot, listened to the introduction of the person in charge of the enterprise on the protection, breeding and sales of wujiang shrimp germplasm resources, and exchanged views with the enterprise on the breeding mode of Wujiang shrimp. In the Qidupu Jiangyuan Ecological Breeding Demonstration Park, the expert group inspected the tailwater purification and treatment system in the core breeding area on the spot, exchanged views with the person in charge of the demonstration park on the breeding environment of Wujiang blue shrimp, and then visited the Pujiangyuan intelligent management platform, which can monitor the water quality and meteorological indicators in the demonstration area in real time, and implement intelligent management of the production process such as intelligent oxygenation, automatic bait, underwater monitoring, environmental analysis, monitoring and early warning.

At the forum, Cao Aibing, section chief of the Jiangsu Provincial Green Office, pointed out that in the process of declaring geographical indications of agricultural products, it is necessary to clarify three issues: why to protect, what to protect, and how to protect; Wujiang District has a good location foundation, and can show the characteristics of Wujiang green shrimp through Wujiang's unique breeding methods and unique location advantages; and the geographical indications of agricultural products are to serve industrial development, rural revitalization, and farmers' prosperity, and the purpose is to let farmers really get benefits. Qian Zhiwei, deputy director of the Agriculture and Rural Affairs Bureau of Wujiang District, said that Wujiang District will base itself on its location advantages, highlight the characteristics of the "Wujiang green shrimp" industry, expand the scale of the industry, and do a good job in declaring geographical indications of agricultural products.
