The patient, Feng XX, 33 years old, was admitted to the emergency department for abdominal steel pipe penetration injury caused by a fall from a height. Qi Hailong, the emergency surgical duty physician, immediately consulted to view the patient, and saw a young male patient with an abdomen penetrated by a steel pipe with a diameter of 10 cm, the entrance was the right lower abdomen, the exit was the left quarter rib area, and part of the small intestine was exposed, active bleeding, lying on his back on the bed, and his expression was very painful. After the preliminary examination and diagnosis, immediately report to the second-line duty chief physician Yang Peixiong, and at the same time notify the operating room and other relevant departments to make preoperative preparations, and then notify the patient's family of the condition and diagnosis results, and recommend immediate operation. A battle to snatch lives from steel pipes quickly began. The patient was pushed into the operating room at 23:00.
Race against the clock to protect the lives of patients. Entering the operating room, after successful anesthesia, the abdominal cavity is opened, and the abdominal cavity of the patient is "broken" by the steel pipe straight "string", resulting in multiple small intestine and mesangial segmental contusions. The most thrilling thing is that this steel tube is less than 1 cm away from the abdominal aorta and spleen, and in the case of determining that no other organs are damaged, Chief Physician Yang Peixiong and Dr. Qi Hailong began to slowly withdraw the steel tube from the patient's body for detailed exploration of the abdominal cavity, and saw multiple injuries and ruptures in the small intestine and mesentery. A series of surgeries were carried out one by one: "segmented injury of small intestine resection, intestinal anastomosis, repair of multiple small intestinal ruptures, mesenteric repair, abdominal drainage, abdominal wound debridement and suturing", and the total of about 250 cm of intestinal tubes was removed during the operation, and the remaining intestinal tubes were about 230 cm. The operation lasted 6 hours and the patient was transferred to the emergency icu monitoring treatment.
