The trailer for Spider-Man: Homeless didn't let the Green Devil appear directly, but Willem Dafoe is back. He was the iconic supervillain in the 2002 version of The Spider-Man movie.

Is the Green Devil really back, "MJ" Jones is in danger, and will Spider-Man lose her?

In the trailer and poster for Spider-Man: Homeless, is this really the Green Devil played by Willem Dafoe? When Sony and Marvel announced the long-awaited first trailer for Spider-Man Part III of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, a conspicuous green pumpkin bomb appeared on the street, giggling... The laughter suggests that Remy's Spider-Man will really be back. Now the latest Heroes Of No Return poster has clearly confirmed that the Green Devil will appear.

For many fans, Spider-Man in 2002, directed by Sam Remy and starring Toby Maguire, was a brilliant spider movie, thanks in large part to norman Osborne, played by villain William Dafoe, the iconic villain of the Green Devil. Dafoe played the evil Green Devil perfectly. In the film, Norman Osborne is a billionaire industrialist who accidentally acquires superpowers by experimenting on himself during a period of extreme mourning.

Soon after he discovers that Spider-Man who is hindering his plans to sabotage is his son's best friend Peter Parker, Osborne attacks Aunt May (Rosemary Harris), kidnaps Mary Jane Watson (Kirsten Dunster), and throws her off the Queensboro Bridge. During his final battle with Spider-Man, the Green Goblin inadvertently commits suicide, and his death creates a barrier between Peter and Norman's son Harry (James Franco), leading osborne jr. to become the new Green Goblin in Spider-Man 3.

However, this time in "Heroes Of No Return" should return to the original Green Devil, not the new Green Devil of Little Osborne, because the trailer reveals Dafoe's signature laughter. From the footage now, Spider-Man, played by Tom Holland, is fending off the Green Devils' gang on the George Washington Bridge and dodging his signature orange and green pumpkin bombs.

In order to keep the plot of the movie secret, Sony and Marvel have not officially announced that William Dafoe will return to star in "Spider-Man: Heroes Returnless", but a well-informed person abroad revealed that Dafoe was found on the set, and the latest poster obviously has a unique Remy version design element. This already proves that Dafoe's "Green Devil" is back, and will fight the MCU version of Spider-Man alongside Dr. Octopus, played by Alfred Molina in Spider-Man 2, and Jamie Foxx in Wonder Spider-Man 2.

Is the Green Devil really back, "MJ" Jones is in danger, and will Spider-Man lose her?

As the first villain in Remy's version of Spider-Man, the Green Devil is undoubtedly an iconic villain for Spiders, and the return of Norman Osborne, played by William Dafoe, opens up exciting possibilities. But the first question is how can Osborne, who is apparently dead in 2002's Spider-Man, still be alive? It is possible that Peter and Doctor Strange entered the multiverse earlier than the 2002 Spider-Man setting, but there are also rumors that Doctor Strange disrupted the timeline, causing the green devil to resurrect or interfering with the death of the green devil in the original movie. If the rumors are true, then it's clear that Peter and Doctor Strange's interference in the multiverse may have revolutionized the plot of Sam Remy's version of the Spider-Man movie, and that the impact of the multiverse on the original movie plot is not as simple as ever.

While the Spider-Man: Homeless poster only gives a vague picture of Grimm Goblin, it's clearly a version of William Dafoe with a metal helmet and glider, not the new Green Devil played by James Franco in Spider-Man 3, nor a split version of Dane Dehann in The Amazing Spider-Man 2. Now because of the changes in the multiverse, the audience would like to see this villain return, but although fans like William Dafoe's performance in 2002's "Spider-Man", the appearance of the Green Devil has been controversial, and now from the poster, it seems to have improved, the Green Devil's glider and Remy are also a little different, the Green Devil's shape is very close to the original design, but it still looks like there are some specific changes, it seems to be less terrifying.

Is the Green Devil really back, "MJ" Jones is in danger, and will Spider-Man lose her?

The encounter between the Green Devil and The Dutchman's Spider-Man In addition to the timeline problem will be a problem that "Heroes Of No Return" needs to explain, a huge problem may be reflected in the movie. As can be seen from the trailer, several of Spider-Man's villains have appeared and attacked another New York bridge that is different from the original Green Devil's attack, obviously this time, the attack will no longer be Kerstin Dunst, this time it must be Zandaya, and like the previous two versions, will Peter Parker, played by Tom Holland, eventually encounter an unimaginable tragedy that will make him emotionally scarred as a hero? Just like Uncle Ben's death to Maguire's Spider-Man and Gwen Stacy's (Emma Stone)'s death to Garfield's Spider-Man?

Whatever happens, it's a great thing that William Dafoe returned to play the Green Devil in Spider-Man: Homeless, thanks to Sony's wise secrecy of keeping the supervillain a strict secret ahead of the movie's premiere, and they may be kept much more secret than that. So "Eternals" can not be watched, this "Spider-Man" we better not miss.
