Off-the-beaten-path places generally hide magnificent beauty; inaccessible places are often shrouded in mystery. The No Man's Land of Mount Alkin is one such place, once called the "Land of the Dead" by the Swedish explorer Sven.
With a harsh climate and poor oxygen, it is a natural paradise for wildlife, inhabited by hundreds of rare animals such as wild camels, wild donkeys, wild yaks, Tibetan hartebeest, Tibetan antelope, gray wolves, snow leopards and brown bears all year round.
According to the China Tibet Network, some herders filmed a group of wolves chasing sheep in the no-man's land of Altun Mountain: a group of wolves were hunting a group of Tibetan antelopes, and the whole flock was able to escape, but the lonely lamb fell into the wolf's mouth.
Every year from May to July, along the way from the Argin Mountains to Coco Siri, there will be flocks of Tibetan antelope, which vary in size, with a large group of more than 3,000 heads, which is quite spectacular; the small group has only a few Tibetan antelopes.
This time, a team of about 50 sheep appeared, most of which were ewes. In order to give birth, they traveled more than 200 kilometers through Whale Lake to the west coast of Lake Chonay in Coco Siri. The ewes have already given birth to lambs, and together with the lambs, they are on their way back the same route.
In addition to natural predators such as gray wolves, Tibetan brown bears and golden eagles, tibetan antelopes face the most dangerous or the covetousness of poachers, but in recent years, poachers are not as scattered as before, and dare not come openly.
In the natural enemy, the wolf is the main enemy of the Tibetan antelope, they are good at team combat, but also know the tactics, often surprised to attack them, the success rate of preying on the Tibetan antelope is about 30%, especially for the newborn lamb, it is easy to bury in the wolf's belly. Of course, birds of prey such as eagles are a great threat to lambs, but they are negligible compared to wolves.
Where the Tibetan antelope passed, several wolves had already been ambushed there. Looking at the Tibetan antelope in the distance, a wolf swallowed saliva in its mouth. Because the color of the wolf's coat matched the color of the no-man's land, the Tibetan antelope did not find the wolf pack at all, and still walked this way, still eating grass.
This time, in order to prey on the Tibetan antelope, the wolves patiently lurked in the grass for a long time, and they were ready to wait for the sheep to eat before attacking, so that the odds were greater.
It seems that the time is ripe, a young wolf as a pioneer, rushed up to harass the Tibetan antelope, because the Tibetan antelope did not have the team spirit to protect each other, suddenly encountered a wolf attack, they panicked, the flock scattered and fled. But in front of them, there are already wolves with fast heads stuck there.
In fact, it is no wonder that the female antelope, they do not have sharp horns, but God also gave them a skill - running, Tibetan antelope can run up to 70 km / h. Generally speaking, scattered female antelopes run fast and can escape the siege and interception of wolves, but some lambs are difficult to say.
This time, the sheep were able to escape again, and the wolf pack's hunting plan was declared a failure. The head wolf looked at the Tibetan antelope herd in the distance, unable to hide the disappointment in his heart. Suddenly the head wolf slowed down, it seemed to have found something again, and a smile broke out on that gloomy face!
It turned out that not far away, there was a small Tibetan antelope that was separated from its mother, and it was still jumping out of the grass without knowing it, and it seemed that this cute little lamb was doomed!
The two wolves hunched over and quietly approached the lamb, trying to pinch the lamb with one left and one right. By the time the poor lamb sensed danger, the wolf was at hand. My mother, the little lamb was so frightened that it spread its hooves and ran away.
But the lamb's four small legs could not be compared with the limbs of the wolf. As the distance grew closer, one of the wolves closest to the lamb had already shown its sharp teeth and had already taken a shot at the lamb, biting the lamb's neck and dropping it to the ground.
Another wolf took aim at the lamb's hips, and a few more wolves ran behind it, biting at the lamb with its mouth open, and even the head wolf even used the technique of pulling out the anus. The lambs were eaten so much that only a pile of debris remained, and one of the wolves licked his tongue as if he had not eaten enough. A few vultures also came to join in the fun, they circled in the sky, and they also wanted a piece of the pie.
The female antelope in the distance watched with tears as her cubs fell into the wolf's mouth.
Wolves eat sheep, sheep eat grass, and this is beyond reproach. But I would like to say that the death of the lamb is blamed on its lack of discipline, lack of follow-up to its mother, and greed for fun; although wolves do not run as fast as Tibetan antelopes, they can succeed mainly because of teamwork.
