Xingjing County Museum was officially established in 1984, initially named "Yandao Ancient City Ruins Museum", located in Ya'an City, Sichuan Province, Yingjing County, Yandao Town, Minzhu Road No. 129. In March 2010, it was renamed from "Yandao Ancient City Ruins Museum" to "Xingjing County Museum".
The ancient city of Yandao in Xingjing County is located in the ancient city of Xingjing County, Ya'an City. It is located on the third level of land on the south bank of the Xinghe River under the Zhongjun Mountain.
