The phrase "survival first, victory first" also enlightened me. Because the epidemic situation in Xiaogan at that time was also the same as the situation faced by the Central Plains Bureau, it was surrounded by layers. If the support team wants to kill a bloody road, it must not send doctors to every hospital and disperse the troops like adding lamp oil. Therefore, at this time, I feel that the essence of the "four concentrations" of the central government proposed to treat is. At the same time, "survival first" also means that the protection of medical personnel must be in place. Hospital sense is a heavy burden that has always been pressed in my heart, and doing a good job of self-protection is the second iron discipline.

The third iron discipline is to operate in strict accordance with technical standards and norms. Reporter: As a commander, when was your most nervous time?

Mei Zhe: From the first day of February 11 to the first day of Xiaogan until the 23rd, these 12 days made me very nervous.

Because during that time, the epidemic situation in Xiaogan showed a straight rise. Local cases rose rapidly from more than two thousand to more than three thousand, and the rapidly growing numbers made us nervous. At that time, we made a prediction of the number of confirmed cases in Xiaogan and made plans according to the highest value. Fortunately, Xiaogan's prevention and control measures are strong, and the number of confirmed cases is controlled near the median of our predictions.

So looking back, these 12 days were my most worrying and anxious periods. Before the 24th, I slept no more than 4 hours a day; after the 25th, as the number of cures rose sharply and the mortality rate fell, I had a bottom in my heart and began to feel relieved.

Reporter: In addition to nervousness, have there been any other unforgettable emotions or moments?

Mei Zhe: In a certain county in Xiaogan, a captain of the medical detachment said to me with tears that the local hospital did not have a strong sense of hospitality, and he was worried that the support team members would not be able to go back. This sentence makes me very distressed. Therefore, since then, I have strengthened my determination to urge the team members to implement the iron discipline of hospital sense protection.

At the same time, it also made me make up my mind to "top" all the party committee members of the command headquarters to the front line, let them go down to the team twice a week to talk to the captain, and then let the captain encourage the team members.

Mei Zhe: Chongqing and Xiaogan are different in culture, food, language and so on. Our team members have many young people, coupled with straightforward personalities, in the tense medical treatment process, the speech did not take into account the feelings of filial piety and local medical care, which is lacking in this regard.

But this problem, with the deepening of everyone's run-in, has also been solved. The hugs and tears of local doctors as they sent us away were enough to prove the breakdown of the barrier.

Filial piety to the good of local comrades, this is recognized. I have also stressed with the team members before that support must be a process of mutual learning and promotion. It is not that the level of the Chongqing team members is higher than that of the local medical care in Xiaogan, they have many strengths that are worth learning from the Chongqing team members. Including our direct management of patients, the reason why we are determined not to take over the ward is because Xiaogan local medical care has always fought alongside us.
