1. Welcome the Kitchen God.
The 23rd day of the twelfth lunar month is the "Worship to the Kitchen God" day. It's been more than ten days since the Kitchen God said good things. On the fourth day of the first lunar month, the Kitchen God has finished saying good things and will welcome the Kitchen God home. This custom means that the home is
safe.
1.接竈神
臘月二十三這一天為“祭竈神”日，是竈王爺上天言好事的日子，已過了十多天了，到了正月初四，竈神把好事也說完了，要迎接竈神爺回家了。這個習俗寓意着家宅平安。
2. Meet the god of wealth.
Because of the folk custom of opening the market on the fifth day of the Lunar New Year, all business friends will place incense tables, light candles, and place offerings on the fourth day of the Lunar New Year, and take the five gods of wealth home, so as to open the market smoothly and prosperously.
2. 迎财神
因為民間有大年初五開市的習俗，是以所有做生意的朋友，在大年初四這一天都會擺香案、點蠟燭、擺供品，把五路财神接回家，以便順利開市，财運亨通。
3. Eat leftovers.
In the past, the fourth day of the Lunar New Year was suitable for eating leftovers, that is, the rest of the meals from the first day to the third day of the Lunar New Year were folded together and heated into a pot of stew, which tasted delicious. Eating leftovers reflects the spirit of thrift.
3. 吃折羅
在過去，大年初四這一天，适合吃折羅，即把初一到初三剩下的飯菜，都折合在一起，熱一下成了一鍋大雜燴，吃起來很香。吃折羅展現了勤儉節約的精神。
4. Throw away poverty
According to the old tradition, people do not dump garbage casually from the first day to the third day of the Lunar new year, which means that they will not let the wealth run away. But on the fourth day of the first month, they will throw out all the garbage in their homes, which means that they will throw out the poverty, and the new year will be very lucky.
4. 扔窮
按照老傳統，人們在初一到初三是不随便倒垃圾的，寓意不會讓财運流失，但到了正月初四這一天，就要把家裡所有的垃圾扔出去，寓意扔掉窮困，新的一年會大吉大利。#天南地北大拜年#
