野菊來函 路 也
詩人你好，我已在村路和山崖開放
一朵朵，一簇簇
毫無疑問，我姓陶
我的清香已滲進秋天的動脈和靜脈
石頭和石頭受香氣牽連
結為了兄弟
我已有了一件風的罩衫
還缺一件薄雪的外套
在秋天和冬天的門檻上，我才開得最好
倘若你肯為我寫首詩，我就什麼都不缺了
你何時到南山來
我想請你指揮一個漫山遍野的樂隊
在這裡寫詩，寫壞了也值

Letter from Daisy

Hello, poet, we are in bloom, on the bluff and along the country lane,
one after another, in clusters.
As a matter of course, we are from the Tao family.
Our aroma has seeped into autumn’s bloodstreams.
Stones and boulders catch the same scent
and band together as brothers.
I am well dressed for the wind,
but still need a new coat for the snow.
End of autumn and first of winter is when I look the best.
If you should write a poem for me, I would want for nothing
When you come to Nanshan Mountain,
please preside over our hills and dales for a full symphony.
It’s a great place to write poetry, even if it all turns out to be scribbles.
Yes, I am blessed by the sky
to be a daisy, not to enter any garden.
I am counting the days, and eagerly await your arrival.
