reminds the danger that we are in. it has come to a stage most of the

computers in the world cannot be trusted any more to type a password,

credit card number, etc. bots also known as software robots running in

your computer without your knowledge, come in the form of viruses and

worms, watch every key stroke you type. read every document you read or

write. no one knows better about you than your guardian bot!

odds that bots operate in your computer are very high. it is

safe to assume they are already in waiting for you. time to time they

file systems is zfs. it not possible to import zfs to linux because of

professional audio and video production requires real-time

infrastructure support from the operating system side. beside apple mac

os x, most probably, the tomahawk desktop operating system is the only

general purpose operating system offer real-time facility natively in

the core os.

we use our own commercial license which we allow completely free

for any personal use. by releasing the tomahawk desktop for free for

personal use, we hope to help bridge the digital divide, promote use of

legal software and show our gratitude for open source developers as we

use lot of open source software to make the tomahawk desktop.

3. <b>what happened between 2006 and 2008?</b>

we realised that a viable desktop operating system cannot be

developed based on linux. therefore, we switched to bsd, especially

freebsd. please refer to "why we switched to bsd?" for detail. linux is

an operating system kernel. freebsd is a tightly integrated operating

system release. freebsd's kernel is not available as a standalone

package. our switch was radical. required a steep learning curve from

using freebsd for day to day tasks, learning how the freebsd internals

work, and diving deep into dismantling the freebsd. before we start the

development of the tomahawk desktop version 2.0 beta1, we made three

alpha versions of the tomahawk core version 2.0. we did not announce

either switch to bsd or development of the alpha versions of the

tomahawk core version 2.0 for strategic reasons. we are now equip with

a viable operating system based on bsd code, time is right for us now

to raise funds to expedite the development of tomahawk desktop.

4. <b>who are your customers?</b>

direct customers are of course the corporates. we intend to sell

site licenses to them. ironically, we expect a significant revenue,

indirectly, from the end users who use it for free! this is similar to

google's core services are free yet earn billions out of it. this may

not be logical in the traditional corporate perspective. we are not a

traditional company. direct os sales is a one possible revenue. we have

identified many possible significant revenue sources associated with

the tomahawk desktop. having a general purpose operating system in hand

is our greatest strength and the foundation for many services and

revenue.
