What is System Administration?

System Admin  includes different things:

Start up and shutdown the host*

user control (create, remove, change password etc.)

Disk storage, Filesystems, tapes etc.

network admin (IP address, DNS...)

performance monitoring.

database work (informix, sybase, DB2...)

Installing the OS (most likely done by IBMer)

backups and recover
