名词

考点一:可数名词的复数。

点拨:1、名词分可数名词和不可数名词,可数名词有单数和复数之分。

2、可数名词单数变复数时通常遵循下列规则：

(1)一般在单数名词后加-s。

(2)以字母s、x、ch、sh结尾的名词加 -es(如 boxes,dresses,buses, classes, brushes,

watches, sandwiches, glasses等)。

(3)以o结尾的名词,一般有生命的加-es如 tomatoes,potatoes, heroes等,（但 kangaroos 袋鼠也有生命,只加了s例外)没有生命的加-s( radios,zoos, photos, planos等)。

(4)以辅音字母加y结尾的名词,先把y改为i再加-es(如 universities, dictionaries,babies, cities,

countries, families, libraries等。

(5)以f或fe结尾的名词,先把fe改为v再加-es(如wives, knives, leaves. halves, shelves, thieves,lives, wolves等。

3、有些名词为不规则变化。如:man-men, woman- women, policeman-policemen, foot-feet ，tooth-teeth, child-children, mouse-mice。

4、某些名词的单复数同形，如: Chinese Japanese. sheep, deer(鹿)等。fish表示鱼的种类时复数形式是fishes,表示条数而不强调种类时,单复数同形用fish。

5、有一些名词是成双、成对出现的,这些名词常用pair来修饰。如: a pair of glasses, a pair

of trousers, a pair of shoes, a pair of scissors, a pair of chopsticks等。

6、一些集体名词,单数形式,复数含义。如: family(家人), people,plice,class等。

7、一些以s结尾的词是单数含义，如 physics, maths politics等。

考点二:不可数名词及量的表达。

点拨:1、不可数名词没有复数形式,且不能用a、an或数词直接修饰。

2、不可数名词需要计量时,可用much, little, a little, a lot of, lots of,.some,any等词修饰;也可以用表示数量的短语修饰(如 a piece of advice, five cups of tea, ten bottles of water等)。

考点三:名词所有格。

点拨:1、名词所有格表示所有关系,表示有生命的人或事物的名词的所有格有以下几点构成：(1)一般是在单数名词后加's,如Tom's。

(2)以s结尾的复数名词只加 ’,如 Teachers' Day。

(3)属于几个人共有的,在最后一个名词后加 ’s,如: Lucy and Lily's room,,属于各所有的各个名词后都加 ’s,如Jim's, Tom's and Mike's books are all on the desk.

2、表示无生命的东西的名词常用“of+名词”结构表示所有格(如: the gate of the school， a map of the world, the windows of the room等,表示时间、距离、田园、城市等无生命的东西的名词也可用 's,如 Today's newspaper, ten minutes' walk,two hours' rest等。

考点四:名词作定语。

点拨:1、名词作定语时,多用单数形式,如: apple trees。

2、当man, woman所修饰的名词是单数时,man, woman用单数(如: a man teacher, a woman doctor)当修饰的名词是复数时,man, woman要用复数形式(如: twenty men teachers, ten women doctors)。

考点五:语境中的名词。

点拨:1、这类考题往往需要考生通过日常生活经验和上下文来推测空格所要表达的意思,从而选出正确的选项。

2、另外考生要注意积累并掌握一些常见易混名词的区别,如：voice, sound, noise; family, house, home， work, job， message, information, news， problem, question等。
