With many questions, on the morning of September 23, 35 students of the Star Science and Technology Team of Dananjie Primary School went to Suining Guorun Sewage Treatment Plant under the leadership of Deputy Director Tang Dongmei and Teacher Tang Jun to conduct scientific investigation and practice activities, witnessing the magical process of sewage from "dirty and smelly" to "clear to the bottom".
When the bus slowly drove into the sewage treatment plant, all the teachers and students were surprised not to smell the pungent odor, but to see the tree-lined, neat and clean site. The staff of the sewage treatment plant enthusiastically led the teachers and students of the science and technology team to visit the entire process of sewage treatment.
First of all, the staff led everyone to a large crisscrossing steel plate, under the feet is a smelly wastewater pool, the pool floats countless granular objects, the sewage is first filtered through the coarse grid to remove the larger debris in the water.
After filtration, the sewage enters the sewage pump room, and then filters through the fine grid, which can remove smaller debris and make the subsequent treatment process more smooth. After passing through the layers of grilles, enter the swirling sedimentation tank, there is a lot of sediment in the sediment pool in the water constantly turning, the mud and water are separated, at this time the separated water is much clearer, and the odor is not as thick as before.
Then, according to the sewage treatment process, the students also visited the biochemical pool, blower room, sediment slurry separation, laboratory, standard water quality drainage and other sewage treatment equipment under the leadership of the staff.
