Another well-known private bookstore "Tianxiang" Jiangcheng

Hubei Daily News (reporter Han Xiaoling, correspondent Xia Jing) Jiangcheng has added another bookstore with style, this time opened in the Wuguang business circle. On October 29, the 10th branch of Sisyphus Bookstore in Wuhan was officially opened to readers in the "Wushang Li" on the basement floor of the Wushang Mall.

Walking into the bookstore, it is as if you are immersed in a sea of books. The 880-square-meter bookstore has an elegant environment and displays about 60,000 books of 25,000 species. It is understood that the entire bookstore has increased the proportion of art, social science, and economic management books, hoping to extend the depth of reading. Interestingly, there is also a "mixed feelings" reader message projection area on one wall, and if you scan the QR code on the wall with your mobile phone, you can write your impressions on your mobile phone and then project them onto the wall.

The reporter saw in the bookstore that the decorative paintings on the side of the bookshelf adopt bronze patterns, and there is no lack of Jingchu elements; the hanging paintings on the walls of the coffee area concentrate on displaying many landmark buildings in Jiangcheng, such as the old archway of Wuhan University, the Yellow Crane Tower, the Red Chamber, and the Jianghanguan, highlighting the cultural expression of the city.

Sisyphus Bookstore is a national chain of bookstores headquartered in Chongqing, which has opened 10 branches in Hankou and Wuchang since it settled in Wuhan in 2015, and will open another one in Hanyang at the end of the year. The completed branch is the largest of all the branches of the bookstore in Wuhan, and the first "black label store" in central China, positioned as a high-end store in the city. In November, the store will also hold a book sharing meeting for writers Zhi'an and August Chang'an.

"When Sisyphus Bookstore first settled in Wuhan, it was because of the city's profound cultural accumulation and mature book market." Yang Liu, business development manager of Central China at Sisyphus Bookstore, said that over the past few years, one branch after another has opened, and they also feel that "Wuhan is different every day" from a special perspective.

In recent years, a number of well-known private bookstores such as Sisyphus, Shijianlu, Zhong Shuge, Zhuoer, and Wuwai have become "net red punch cards" in Jiangcheng, adding a book fragrance to Wuhan.
